This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, the Nissan adds a long-bed version of the crew cab to its lineup, allowing Frontier Crew Cab buyers to get a King Cab-size bed. At 6 feet in length, the Long Bed model provides an extra foot of load space. The optional CD changer now has MP3 playback capability, and all models add a passenger-side seatbelt reminder light. All V6-equipped 2007 Nissan Frontiers get a bump up in their emissions rating to LEV2 ULEV.

Pros:
  • Well-tuned chassis and ample ground clearance assure excellent capability in the dirt, muscular V6 engine, good highway ride, spacious cabin, innovative bed features.
Cons:
  • Interior heavy on hard plastics, regular-cab body style not available.

  • Impressed - 2007 Nissan Frontier

Not much change from the 06 but the value power package (new in 07) is a must. Not as smooth over rough roads as my Ranger. The power is awesome. I know gas mileage is a common complaint, but Im getting over 21 mpg in town! And its supposed to get better once the engine gets broken in. I only got 19 with my Ranger with a much smaller engine. The turning radius is, well, non-existent. Dont try a U-turn at an intersection. The transmission is incredible smooth. I cannot feel it shift. Overall, Im very impressed with the look and quality.

When I set out to buy my first news vehicle I knew one thing. I was getting a truck. I researched everything I could about recently produced 4x4 mid-size trucks, and was hoping to find and American made that fit my criteria. After all was said and done I bought my 07 frontier brand- new with 205 miles on it. I was spoiled for a few years owning a 78 international scout ii. I have put this Nissan through the same paces that I was able to put old Betsy through, however. At 37,000 mi. I needed to replace the clutch, and now at 78,000 I am needing to open the transfer case because the 4x4 wont disengage all of the way. So I ask, "what the hell?" why are these things breaking?

I have been driving wifes 03 F150 and needed something for myself so I got a fairly good deal on the frontier. The ride is rougher which for me is just fine.

  • No Power! - 2007 Nissan Frontier

XE is severely underpowered, too much truck and not enough engine, should never have got it. Need the V6.

  • Good truck with some flaws - 2007 Nissan Frontier

I love this truck, its very capable off-road and hauls it all around town and on the freeway. I have just under 7k on it and I get the occasional squeak/noise from under the dash, paint chips semi-easily and does GREAT on the freeway, but badly around town. Gas pedal takes a bit to rev. Interior shows scratches like mad. Otherwise, love the looks, features, power.

  • Will not u turn! - 2007 Nissan Frontier

Truck has a very WIDE turning radius. I am always up on the curb or blocking the road. Not good for tight turns anywhere!

  • Replaced clutch at 35,000 miles - 2007 Nissan Frontier

Bought my son a Frontier. Replacing the clutch at 35,000 miles this week. This is not what I expected at 35,00 miles. My toyota pickup clutch was replaced at 260,000 miles. I guess you get what you pay for.

  • 5 Months and still loving it - 2007 Nissan Frontier

I wrote a review called 3 Months and still love it. I have now driven my truck in both summer and winter (live in the Northeast). I have also gotten over my initial new car happy feeling, but believe me: Im still very happy with my truck. I took fuel economy down one notch because in four wheel drive I know its depressingly low. All vehicles are low in 4WD though, so dont skip this truck because of that. The power is still great, handles like a dream, and there has been ZERO snowpiles or unplowed roads that I could not get through. I live in a city built on a hill where they dont know how to plow, and I still havent had a single problem in the snow.

  • 2 year update - 2007 Nissan Frontier

the stock tires are only good for southern Cal. I purchase a set of BFG AT and they made a world deference off road. It will climb now with all most no wheel spin, where as before the stock tires just couldnt find traction. The only down side to using real off road tire is I lost about 2 mpg. No real problems with the truck, I even have hauled one cubic yard of gravel with it, just got to go slow.
