Very satisfied owner - 2004 Nissan Frontier
By John - June 23 - 12:30 amI am about to hit 100k miles today (XE V6, 4WD, Crew Cab, 5 speed). Havent had a problem yet and Ive worked it hard. There arent even any rattles in the interior. Itll tow an 18 boat, haul a yard of stone, plow snow, and commute to work. The ride, handling, and build quality are much better than my previous truck, a Toyota Tacoma. As far as mileage, I have seen 21mpg when driving with a light touch on the highway, but its mostly 18-20mpg. Its certaintly no worse than any other compact pickup on the market. I did install a Magnaflow exhaust and K&N filtercharger, which helped with throttle response. Overall, I couldnt really ask for more from a truck.

gas hog - 2004 Nissan Frontier
By m.r. - June 12 - 10:00 ami like this truck except for the horrible gas mileage. driving down from san francisco to los angeles, it took me 3 fill ups just to make it. i was averaging around 13mpg. i had a tundra that at least delivered around 18-19mpg on the hwy. i try to drive with a light foot as possible, the best i got was 14.5 mpg. very disappointing for a V6. my advice, forget the supercharger, go with the normal V6, believe me, the power difference isnt that noticeable. and, go with the white colored gauges. mine had the black background w/c is hard to see in the daylight while wearing shades.

Nissan Gone Bad - 2004 Nissan Frontier
By Nissan Owner - February 4 - 10:00 amIt looks good from the outside, and the inside isnt that bad. The only bad things I have is the terrible MPG and the wind noise.I mean, 20/22 is terrible for a 4-cylinder with 143 horsepower.

01 heres a review with miles - 2004 Nissan Frontier
By firstacsent - January 29 - 1:26 amAllright, so Ive put 79,000 miles on my truck in less then three years. My driving includes a little of everything, city, highway, even some off road. But to be honest its handled it pretty well. Recently though I did start having some issues, 1st: the taigate handle started to break and mad useing it very diffucult, but it was a easy $50 fix 2nd: Drivers side window knob broke, **** happens... BIG PROBLEMS- 4th: Throw-out bearing has worn, new clutch- $500+ 5th: Service engine litgh came on- O2 sensors need to be replaced first, possible the cat convertor. Still in the end Ive treated this truck poorly so in the end these problems could be expected.
