  • Love my Altima Coupe! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I originally drove an 03 Mazda Protege DX, which was my starter car. Got great gas mileage, however the safety became an issue with me after several close calls. I wanted to upgrade to something a little larger, with great safety ratings, good on gas mileage, and also, great style. This is everything Ive been looking for! I love this car! With the power seat, its pretty easy to get comfortable. The acceleration is beautiful for easy highway entrance, if you need to pass a vehicle its a breeze. Everything on this car, from the look, to the driving experience, is smooth!

  • Be Careful! - 2008 Nissan Altima

First hour off the lot, I already had problems. I looked up at the pillar on the drivers side (the spot where the headliner meets above the window), and I see a wet spot. Had to take it back to the dealer. Apparently there was a blockage in the drain hose from the sunroof. Next day, I get a call. The front of the car is soaking wet. The evaporator has also malfunctioned. So I bought the car Wednesday, drove for a total of 40 miles (20 miles home, and then 20 miles to the dealership), and will finally be able to drive it again Friday afternoon.

  • Dont See the Issues - 2008 Nissan Altima

Compared to the Toyota Solara (4 cyl) Ive driven for the past four years (disliking it more every day) the Altima Coupe 2.5 S is an exhilarating experience. The Altima accelerates quickly, the Solara hesitates; the Altima gives you a feel for the road, the Solara drives like a big luxury car. If youre looking for something that drives like a "land yacht", buy the Solara. If youre looking for something thats just fun to drive, the Altima is a good choice.

  • Smooth, Powerful, Fun to Drive - 2008 Nissan Altima

This car is fun. Ive only been driving it a few days, but I cant get enough of it. The powerful 3.5 with 270hp is more than enough and the CVT handles the power so well, you literally do not feel a "shift", its amazing!

  • GREAT Value - 2008 Nissan Altima

I actually put up an 07 for an 08 with more options, and both vehicles have been absolutely wonderful, and a BLAST to drive. GREAT fuel economy as Im averaging 22-23 in cold temperatures, higher in the summer. Lots of options, and a GREAT value for the amount that you get. Wonderful performance, and the push-button start/Intelligent Key system is extremely convenient. I actually traded a Lexus for the 07, and I dont miss it a bit. The CVT is a great transmission as well, although it does take some adjusting to. It makes great use of the power band all throughout the RPM range, plus it has a surprisingly accurate manual mode.

My fiance and I love our coupe. I feel its the best bang for your buck at this price range. Between performance, styling, and mpg it really is a great all around car.

  • First Nissan Altima Coupe in Western WA - 2008 Nissan Altima

I have had my 2008 Altima Coupe for 1 1/2 weeks now and I LOVE IT! Its my first brand new car and it handles perfect! I have driven 280+ miles (it had 20 when I left the lot. I bought it the day after the dealer received it) and I feel like it was made for me. I havent had that feeling of "oops Im going around that corner too fast" like I did in my other cars/SUVs. Its such a smooth ride, and doesnt have that small compact feel like most sports cars, but it is soooo nice to look at. The backseat is roomy, and there is lots of leg room up front. It has lots of power and get-up-and-go for only 4 cylinders.

  • So far so good - 2008 Nissan Altima

Like most who have driven this car I found that the 2.5 with CVT is a good combination of power and efficiency. I own several large vehicles so fuel cost is a concern with my daily driver. With only 50 miles on it my car is already posting an average of 27 mpg vs the 14 my truck gets. Nissan has done a good job with isolating the driver from engine and transmission noise common on 4 cylinder engines. when driven normally you can barely hear the engine.

  • Altima 3.5SE is awesome! - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

Ive had my 3.5SE for a little more than a year (nearly 20K miles) and I have to say that I love this car!! I tested the Camry SE and the Accord EX and this car blew both away. Its wonderfully powerful and quiet, gives a comfortable, tuned and composed ride for a sport trim vehicle. Handling is fantastic, very well balanced and easy to control. Mileage with a Yakima rack is OK at 23 mpg in mixed driving. Definitely recommend the use of at least mid grade gas, as regular sucks about 3-4mpg from the mileage. Legroom for a 63" guy like me is good, much better than Camry and Accord. Braking is OK, could be a little bit better.

Great shape, fun and active drive with power to match, comfortable and cool interior, really cool car to make a statement for young executives with a zest for life.
