This Year's Model Updates:

All Altimas receives exterior styling enhancements, including new smoked headlamps and taillights, new wheel designs and a restyled front fascia and grille, along with a much needed interior redesign. The 3.5-liter V6 gets five more horsepower and three more lb-ft of torque, for a total of 250 and 249, respectively, and is now available with a five-speed automatic transmission. A new performance-oriented SE-R model joins the lineup along with a leather-lined 3.5 SL model. A newly optional DVD-based navigation system and two new exterior colors round out the changes.

Pros:
  • Sports car power in a midsize sedan body, excellent handling, roomy and comfortable interior, high level of features, distinctive styling.
Cons:
  • Considerable road noise, overboosted steering, no stability control, ABS still an extra-cost option.

  • One Great Car! - 2005 Nissan Altima

This is one fun car. It will turn on a dime and has the pick up needed to do all types of stunts if you wanted to. If traffic is in its dangerous mood for Miami ( which it most often is ) you have the ability to maneauver out of the way of an accident. I love its immediate response, size and how easy it is to get in and out of the vehicle. One of the Best Choices Ive ever made in a vehicle.

I bought my 2005 Nissan altima last month for only $4500 from a private owner.... It had 157,000 miles on the odometer, but it still has a value of $10,000-its a 2.5sl with all the extras.. It has a Bose sound system, spoiler, leather, heated seats, sunroof... The whole package and I love it, its very powerful and the air and heat works perfect, I would definitely recommend someone to purchase a altima

  • Overall...great car - 2005 Nissan Altima

I always said that I would NEVER buy a new car. Ive looked at many other new cars just for the sake of looking but I HAD to have this one. I considered a used one but with the revamped interior and only a 2000 price difference I decided to get the new one. Of course I dont get to drive it much, its the wifes car :-) Cant really rate reliability considering it has 54 miles on it today.

  • Awesome 2005 Altima - 2005 Nissan Altima

NOthing has taken my breath away, every morning since purchasing my Altima, I get excited to get in and just turn t on.The Interior is comfortable and well appointed, me being 64 I glide easily in and out of the car and there is plenty of leg room for me but as well as a passenger behind me. The Altima is quick to respond on the on ramp of the freeway and glides smoothly by onlookers due to its sleek design. The is roadnoise but not alot, the radio makes up for it all and the dash board is very easy to figure out and all the controls are a fingers length away from the wheel. The Altima gets great reviews from this ex loyal Honda Owner.

This is just an awesome car, without the awesome car price.

  • Must be one of the best values today. - 2005 Nissan Altima

This vehicle represents a lot for what it costs. This 4 cylinder is as peppy as it needs, comfortable and fun to drive. The looks of this car still brings a lot of positive comments in parking lots. Now that I have put 30# miles on it, 2 annoying things are happening. 1: Rear brakes are squeaking. 2: Periodically I hear a rattle somewhere in dash area, which I cannot touch to stop in order to have the service department to fix it.

  • Great Car! - 2005 Nissan Altima

After test driving several new cars including the 2004 Maxima, Camery, Honda and a few others, the 2005 Altima 3.5SE was the clear winner. Solid, quiet, responsive and with all the whistles and bells you could ask for. This is a fun car to drive!

  • Great engine but need better suspension - 2005 Nissan Altima
    By -

Cant complaint about the Nissan VQ35 V6 engine. Its silky smooth and powerful to launch. The only refinement should be the struts. Perhaps need to spend additional $1,000 for the Nizmo struts to have more connection with the roads. Often feels double bouncing while on uneven pavements. The sport shift transmission is OK, but 1st to 2nd gear is not as smooth as other higher gears.
