  • Fantastic Car! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I traded my 2003 Tahoe for the 2008 Altima S yesterday. It had 6 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. It has 96 now. I love driving it. The gas mileage is great and the main reason for buying it. The style is a lot sportier than the Accord and Camry. I love the CVT. It is extremely comfortable and has lots of storage in the glove box and trunk. Ive driven a V8 for the last five years and was happily surprised at the power in this 4 cylinder. I cant wait to take it on a long trip. My daugher loves the back seat. She has plenty of room and finds it very comfortable. The keyless entry and pushbuttom start are great. The ride is smooth. You cant go wrong with this car!!

  • Love my new Altima! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I love the car! I was driving an older Infiniti I30 with a V6 before I purchased my altima and really the 4cyl is almost as peppy! Its a super sporty sedan. I am so glad that I decided to go with the altima rather than the accord. I HIGHLY reccomend this car.

  • 3 Months 3000 Miles A+ So Far - 2008 Nissan Altima

This is my second Altima. My first was a 1995 that has almost 300,000 miles on it that I am keeping as a second car as it still runs great. How could I not by another Nissan? I love everything about this car. While I only have slightly less than 3000 miles on it I just got 34.5 mpg on a trip from Cincinnati to Memphis driving 70-80. Combined city/hwy I am averaging just under 30 mpg. To imagine getting this kind of mileage on a car of this size is hard to believe. My engine is hardly broken in! The styling is amazing and the interior is very spacious (Im 62). The CVT is awesome as is the keyless entry and trunk release. Push button start is great. Make this your next car!

  • The 2008 is GREAT! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I brought this car brand new in 2008. I have Loved this body style of car since it first launched!! Having been a 4 cylinder girl most of my life, I wanted something with a little KICK, so I opted for the 3.5 SL. Black heated leather seats, Sunroof, 6 Disc Bose stereo, the works for that year. I have fallen in love with this vehicle time and time again. The take off is phenomenal and year to date, ive only had to replace brakes, Battery, and tires. I keep the oil changed and keep her exterior clean. Although she is a low-rider she still proves herself to be worthy time and time again. I have never had any issues with the mechanics of the push start, although 7 years later, I am having difficulties with the motor on the windows (to be expected), and for some odd reason the back left passenger door is beginning to hold water when it rains. Other than that she is THE PERFECT VEHICLE. Gas mileage is ok, but Im still loving the CVT transmission. When I first purchased her, she didnt get much play, as she was the second vehicle, but with just over 72,000 miles and daily commutes over 2 hours per day, shes handling Well.

  • Overall great experience. - 2008 Nissan Altima

Ive had about 10 weeks and 3,623 miles in my fully loaded 3.5SE. Overall, let me just say that I love my Altima. After A LOT of research (spreadsheets comparing mpg, leg room, head room, insurance costs, etc), I know I made the right decision. The 3.5 receives outstanding marks by Ward’s Best Engines. Performance is exceptional, and the CVT took getting used to, but now I have trouble going back to a normal auto. The Altima is comfortable, and has great front leg room, and rear leg room exceeds my ’03 Accord, the BMW 5-series, and MB E-Class. I have averaged 21.8mpg city, and 29.4mpg hwy on a 1,152 mile trip (I dont drive slow). This means more room, mpg, and power than the E350 or 528i.

Great sedan. Without transmission delay and with the powerful 2.5l engines drive, its really a great experience for a driver. Lots of fun, all of my family loves it: toddler, husband, wife. We really love it.

  • Excellent Car - 2008 Nissan Altima

Very sporty, fast, comfortable, and extremely fun to drive. Perfect blend of speed, power, and agility. This car will make your heart pump on the highway, and look professional in the office parking lot. The technology package is worth the additional money. The seats are comfortable and provide many different options, its a spacious car, and reasonably quiet. The shifting is smoother than any car Ive been in. Bottom line for the features and reliability you get, there is no other car that can match the price. I am so happy with my Altima.

  • Best for your money!! - 2008 Nissan Altima

I previously leased an 05 Altima 2.5S and absolutely loved that car. I was a little nervous about leasing the 08, hoping that they knocked all the kinks of the new model out. This car truly is awesome!! They bumped up the safety features by making side curtain air bags and ABS brakes standard. I now have 8 speakers instead of 6, dont let the stock fool you. Plug in your iPod and the car is amazingly loud, dont need any kickers here!!!! CVT is really nice, no kick backs or sudden jolts, just nice and smooth. Ive only had the car for a few weeks so the MPG arent too great but hopefully in the future it will be better.

  • Great - 2008 Nissan Altima

This is definitely the best car I test drove and finally bought. There is nothing I dont like about the car. Comparing this car to the Mazda6, Dodge Avenger/Charger and Audi4, this car blows them away with style and performance. Even though I have the V4 for CVT, I feel more power driving this than in any Acura or just any car I have driven. Easily said, Nissan has made a car that will be a collectors item in the years ahead.

  • So nice but, an important detail - 2008 Nissan Altima
    By -

The car has performed very well since I bought it brand new in 2008, except for the brakes which Ive reported in all my service visits, 4 in total from north Texas dealers until the last one in north California. Brakes do have a sound like scraping metal but dealers havent been able to fix it.
