Dissappointing. I Must have had a lemon! - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Dissappointed - January 6 - 1:46 amI purchased the 2.5SL Sedan and was so excited. I previously owned a 1996 Maxima and loved it. The Altima had too many problems to list. The main issues were the CVT transmission, ride stability and the drivers seat. I had to practically floor the car to get it going from a stop or slow speed. I really thought there was something wrong with the CVT, but the dealership told me it was fine 3 times. The drivers seat shifted around when turning (very annoying) and the dealer said there was nothing wrong. On the highway, if there was a slight breeze, the car was dangerously all over the road, again...the dealer said there was nothing wrong. I traded it in on an Acura and I am very happy.

Tired of visiting the dealership. - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Frustrated - December 12 - 3:43 pmI purchased my 2008 Altima new in 2008. This is one of my mistakes. I like the style of the car. I have spent more time in the service department than I would like. Recently my car is making a whining noise while driving over 60 mph. It stalled on the interstate and I had it towed to the dealership, they kept my car for 3 days and said they could not find anything wrong with it. I am doing research online at this time.

Chose A Winner - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Lou - December 6 - 7:33 amAfter shopping and comparing the same class vehicles this car won hands down! Its looks, power, handling and quiet ride together with the price is unbeatable. I bought the base 3.5 SE with the sport package and I might say there is nothing else I need in a car. Bottom line buy one and enjoy this winner.

5 years, 60k miles - 2008 Nissan Altima
By stevewaclo - November 4 - 1:56 amNoticed only one other review for a Coupe with some miles on it, so thought Id share my experience. Took delivery in January of 08 and other than a broken limit strap on the driver door, the car has been flawless. Fuel economy on the V6 has been as high as 32 @ 70 (Hwy, measured several times at fill-up and around 20 in town with combined in the low 20s. Although designed for premium, Ive used regular. Performance is excellent with some torque steer on hard launch. One track day, with VDC off, was a hoot. Excellent for long trips and plenty of room for skis, with the back seats down. Plus, it takes someone who knows the car to know an 08 from the current model.

Great Ride! - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Tony - October 25 - 6:23 amI opted for a fully loaded 3.5 SE including the tech pkg and VDC; I struggled deciding whether or not to just get the prem pkg (no nav), but I am VERY happy with my decision. I love the bluetooth, XM radio, nav system with XM NavTraffic updates, & all of the voice activated commands. The car has excellent handling capabilities despite the front drive setup and the 3.5 V6 is as sweet as they come! My gas mileage has been surprising great (22 city/26 hwy) and the CVTs manual mode is a real hoot. I highly recommend this car to anyone cross shopping the Accord, Camry, or Malibu (and even the G35, 325i or C300). No regrets!

pretty good so far - 2008 Nissan Altima
By cnn4eva - October 6 - 1:50 amThis is the first nissan i have ever had. I came from a Toyota camry and I have to say the altima is much better. It is fast, very good pick up. The engine is quite loud for a 4 cylinder car though. One thing when you drive over 50 mph with the windows down you hear a seeping air noise coming from the driver side.

Frustrated with Nissan headquarters - 2008 Nissan Altima
By Frustrated - September 24 - 12:33 amI absolutely love this car! This is the first Nissan that I own. I waited about 4 years to get this car and now that I have, the radio went out. Now, with me preferring the factory look, I asked Nissan to back me up with this, obviously, its a defect. Nissan made me wait 3 weeks and then finally told me that they would not replace or even discount a new radio. I think this is crappy since the car is a 2008. This will definitely be the last Nissan that I own, not for the product but for the service! It seems like they would want to back up their products but once you purchase, its in your hands!

Very nice car - 2008 Nissan Altima
By sepulveda - September 14 - 3:26 pmThis is very nice car for the price. the gas mileage excellent, handling good, and very comfortable car. My other car is Honda Civic Si, but my sons love this car because of the comfort. The performance is not bad from a 4 banger also. If your looking for the ultimate affordable car, you should buy this one.
