All Altimas receives exterior styling enhancements, including new smoked headlamps and taillights, new wheel designs and a restyled front fascia and grille, along with a much needed interior redesign. The 3.5-liter V6 gets five more horsepower and three more lb-ft of torque, for a total of 250 and 249, respectively, and is now available with a five-speed automatic transmission. A new performance-oriented SE-R model joins the lineup along with a leather-lined 3.5 SL model. A newly optional DVD-based navigation system and two new exterior colors round out the changes.

  It really is the best car I have ever owned! I basically just drive it. I bought from a friend six years ago with 50,000 miles. Now I have 276,000 miles on it and all I have done is basic maintenance, struts, and one sensor. It never breaks down. The motor still runs smooth. Its still peppy, though I dont push it like I did when I first bought it. I expect to see well over 300K miles out of this one.

  I had a 1994 Altima & it was great. Sold it in 1996. I bought the 4cyl. for gas mileage & have gotten as high as 38 mpg on the road . City 25-30 mpg in decent weather. A little more road noise than my 1994 Altima, its liveable. My driving is split between city & highway & I average about 30-32 mpg at weekly fill ups. Nice car & we get alot of compliments on the car & factory chrome wheels. We will buy another Altima in the future.

  this car is almost as fast as my 69 440 dodge r/t & my 440 six pack cuda! its been 30 years since i have had a car this fast& the best car since my 90 eclypse gsx.

  I love the new Nissan Altimas! I traded in my 2003 for a 2005 and I am not disappointed at all. The V6 has power, performance and get handling power. I you have interest in Nissans....check out the Altima!

  The 2005 Nissan Altima is by far the best vehicle Ive purchased in my 50 years of buying cars. This sports edition is not only extremely stylish, but also is outstanding in performance. I urge everyone to take a look at the Nissan line, test drive them, and dare to compare to other makes and models. Quality, Comfort, Excellence. All conspire to make your driving experience a great enjoyment!

  Fast, luxurious for the price, and VERY fun to drive. Pay the extra money for the 6 cylinder - it is so worth it.

  I love this car and so has everyone else that has been in it. My boys 17 and 18 are fighting over who is going to get it when we hand it in. Its fun to drive and I get a lot of compliments of it too. The color (that you have discontinued) is always commented on and how much they love the color. Ice blue, I believe it is. Ive had no problems with the car at all. Just trying to keep it below the proper speed limit is the only one Ive had.

  I bought the car with 11mi on it and over a 3 day period put 200mi on it, i love the way it handles,and the hp and pick up for a 4 cyc. is awesome,i have a 02 mazda p5 but this car is just fun to drive everyday.Love the styling and convience in it. and the gas mileage is awesome too....24 in city and i have not yet seen how much i can get on highway...

  This is my first Altima and it is a good little car. Its reliable and looks good. If you need a quality car that handles fairly well for a stock vehicle and would like a reasonable price, this is your car. If you are looking for massive power, dont look to this car. Go up to the Maxima which is also a great car.
