This Year's Model Updates:

All Altimas receives exterior styling enhancements, including new smoked headlamps and taillights, new wheel designs and a restyled front fascia and grille, along with a much needed interior redesign. The 3.5-liter V6 gets five more horsepower and three more lb-ft of torque, for a total of 250 and 249, respectively, and is now available with a five-speed automatic transmission. A new performance-oriented SE-R model joins the lineup along with a leather-lined 3.5 SL model. A newly optional DVD-based navigation system and two new exterior colors round out the changes.

Pros:
  • Sports car power in a midsize sedan body, excellent handling, roomy and comfortable interior, high level of features, distinctive styling.
Cons:
  • Considerable road noise, overboosted steering, no stability control, ABS still an extra-cost option.

I have owned many cars including a BMW 3 series, Audi A4, and Honda Accord. This car far out performs all others from Driving, styling, acceleration, and performance. It looks great too!

This car is fantastic. I was actually going to buy a TSX but was greatly dissapointed by its horrible engine. The idea of having to press the gas in all the way in to merge onto the highway is absolutely absurd. The interior is great, steering wheel design is awesome. Instruments are very nice, amber coloring is a nice touch and it is also very easy on the eyes. The seats are plush, but hold you in place while you are taking tight turns.

This is my first Nissan after driving Camrys for longet than I care to think. Was shocked on my first outing on an interstate because I thought the car coming up on my drivers side was going to hit me-my mistake...just all the road noise coming through the door. Not as quiet as a Camry for highway driving but not noticable at all if you do as much city driving as this one gets.

Bought the car new. It had a strange squeak in front end, dealership eventually found and fixed it. I have had absolutely no mechanical issues w/ the car. I love the power of the 2.5L for the size of the car. I love that it has a big-car-feel when driving but has some economy aspects such as gas mileage. The ride is a little mushy w/ 4 adults, good w/ 2. Interior plastic could be of better quality but, for my experience w/ this car, the engine, size, comfort, fuel economy and price make it more affordable than the accord (which I test drove and found it rode as stiff and bumpy and my sportbike; gut jarring). I am going to sell it because its just that time, but I will miss it very much

For the money, this is the best vehicle on the market. You couldnt ask for a more affordable vehicle. Priced right with low payments and low interest rates. You couldnt ask for a better choice.

The Nissan Altimas are great. I love the gas milage compare to what I use to have to put in a Chevy Tahoe. Great Family car. I have two kids and they love it. The radio system is also great. Over all I think its a great family car and looks very nice.

I am a converted GM buyer but have had problems with their service, and repair costs over the past several years. My last car was a cadillac Catera, previously Buicks, Pontiacs. My Altima is the first foray into "foreign" territory. 4 people at work have an altima and the styling and good looks first appealed to me.After asking all 4 people how they liked their cars I received excellent comments from all of them with a unanimous completely satisfied with the car. Ive had the car since September 04 and am impressd with the performance, styling, and everything about this vehicle

In the past I always bought Honda Accords. I took one test drive of the 3.5SL and I was sold. This car has incredible pickup. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly it goes 0-60mph. The exterior design is classic(esp. with the rear spoiler). The quality of the leather could be upgraded just a bit. Overall, very pleased with the preformance, comfort and value of this car....Highly recommended.
