Overview & Reviews
All Altimas receives exterior styling enhancements, including new smoked headlamps and taillights, new wheel designs and a restyled front fascia and grille, along with a much needed interior redesign. The 3.5-liter V6 gets five more horsepower and three more lb-ft of torque, for a total of 250 and 249, respectively, and is now available with a five-speed automatic transmission. A new performance-oriented SE-R model joins the lineup along with a leather-lined 3.5 SL model. A newly optional DVD-based navigation system and two new exterior colors round out the changes.
- Sports car power in a midsize sedan body, excellent handling, roomy and comfortable interior, high level of features, distinctive styling.
- Considerable road noise, overboosted steering, no stability control, ABS still an extra-cost option.

exceeds expectations - 2005 Nissan Altima
By new to nissan - February 4 - 7:26 pmThis is my first time owning a Nissan and I had a great experience from the start with the dealership, they had great financing options and discounts that made it possible for me to purchase the Altima. Overall the car is very comfortable, the first weekend I had it, we took it on a 5 hour trip with no problem and the gas milage was great considering the size of the car. It is sporty and roomy, which is what I was looking for. The interior controls seem modern, but not complicated. Overall I feel like I am driving a car that is in a luxury-class

This is the first car I have ever loved! - 2005 Nissan Altima
By Susan M. - January 6 - 8:56 amThis is the first car I have ever loved and Ive had quite a few - VWs, Oldsmobiles, family Cadillacs, a Fire Bird and a BMW. The were all just modes of transportation before I got my Altima 3.5. This car is so powerful, instantly responsive, comfortable and fun to drive. Even after having it for over a year now I still look forward to driving it, ever time I get in it. I used to hate driving long distances (two or more hours) but now I look forward to it.

Sporty - 2005 Nissan Altima
By Lara - December 21 - 3:03 amThis car is just what I was looking for. After trading in an Eclipse I was looking for something with good pickup and sporty handling and found it. The gas millage hasnt been quite what I expected at 20 mpg but that was only the 2nd fill up. The interior is very roomy and also accommodates for the shorter driver.

Me and my Altima - 2005 Nissan Altima
By Chuck A - December 18 - 2:20 amIve now had my Altima 2.5S for six months, replacing a Sentra SE. It is a quantum leap up from the Sentra. Ride, comfort, style all a step up. Performance from a 2.0 5 speed manual to a much bigger, heavier car is down some. Do miss ABS. Love the newly styled interior - looks to me like it belongs in a more expensive car. Fit and finish are excellent, with no problems since I picked up the keys from the dealer. Id recomment this car over Camry any day.

after 4 months, still no regrets - 2005 Nissan Altima
By James - December 3 - 4:20 amI finally bought the 2005 Altima 3.5se with leather sport package, Bose stereo system, fully loaded except for Nav. It took me 8 months to decide on a car and I am so glad I bought this one. I read lots of mediocre reviews, but I only have the most positive things to say about this car. Heard things like interior felt cheap and the stereo was poor quality. I can not agree. The stereo is crystal clear 99% of the time and picks up stations in L.A. which is 150 miles away! Leather is superb, nothing feels cheap about the car. In fact, went test driving some B.M.W s with a friend and we both liked my Nissan better! Its roomie, sturdy, powerful, and classy. 100% what I wanted!

I love my new car!! - 2005 Nissan Altima
By YLS - November 15 - 10:00 amJust bought yesterday-had an XE Sentra that was totalled and decided to upgrade. I LOVE IT!! My mom used to have a 1993 Altima and they have improved the space tremendously!!! It really is a great car for the price. My payments really arent that much more than I had for my Sentra.
