Wonderful so far - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Ned - January 1 - 12:20 amWe have only had the ML for a couple of weeks, but we love it. We traded in a 2000 ML 320. In my test drive of the 06, the first place I went was to a parking lot to try it on the speed bumps. It was great! The old ML was a killer. We took the new ML on a 1600 mile trip and we got 23 MPG. It is very quiet and smooth. It is as quiet as my wifes Lexus ES 330. Our ML is silver with silver wheels. It is crying out for chromies. It has much more storage space in the rear than the old ML. I have not encountered any shifing problems so far - or any maintenance problems, but it is still pretty new. It handles really well and is powerful. The new shifter is nice once you get used to it.

Just a happy ML 350 owner - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By JOSH - December 13 - 3:03 pmI got it back in Nov/05 and since that date I normally drive it on the weekends, smooth ride, powerful, etc. I just love it and I agree that once you drive a MB you can not drive anything else. My best friend daughter saw it and the expression was: "What a Beauty"! and ask his Dad to trade his new Ford Exp. 2007 for the new ML 350...(by the way; He did not look so happy)

The electronics are a major part of the fun, the combination GPS, Sat radio, CD changer and single CD in dash, power tailgate all make the perfect ride quality all the more enjoyable.

By mvs2006 - November 24 - 10:40 amAfter looking at the Lexus RX, we found that the ML was more spacious, a solid drive and safer car. its an elegant SUV that has great safety ratings (Five stars). it would be close to perfect with a better NAV system, a backup view camera and genuine wood trim. Fun to drive.

By Mario - November 2 - 11:53 pmMore power than the Lexus RX300 and 330 combined. Feels like the SUV is glued to the road and you feel safer than the Lexus. Imangine, 7 gears in its class, it runs better than some 8 cylinder SUVs.

Service indicator lights up - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Patrick - October 25 - 2:46 pmI just bought my ML350 2006 and one week later, the service indicator lit up and said that I am 350 days overdue for service. I brought it back to the service department and re-set the indicator. 4 days later, the indicator lit again saying that I am 120 days overdue for service B. Also, the passenger door got jammed even when unlocked during a cold spell here (- 30F). This never happened in my previous 2003 ML350. How come MB is always plagued with electronic problems? Doesnt MB test their products for winter weather as cold as Alaska? SUVs are made for winter weather so they should test their products for winter.

Balance shaft recall & reliability - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By joezep - September 29 - 7:10 amTheres a ballnce shaft problem where MB extended the warantee for 10 years on this $5,800 job. One dealer did not know about it. They still hit me $1,800 to replace defective intake manifold that was not covered. This car has a computer from hell giving false signals on light bulbs etc. Not nearly as reliable as my 99 E430. Truck ate about $10k in repairs this year. I expected a lot better quality from MB but this is true for all German cars lately. Why pay this kind of money when cars casting half are more reliable?

My First Benz Is Awesome! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Benz-e - September 26 - 4:13 amI love my 1st Benz. AWD is great, leather is plush. I feel safe in it and its the perfect car for the canadian winters. 1 problem though. My sunroof cracked during a heavy rain storm [luckily I was in a partly covered parking stall] water dripped into my plush leather. MB should use stronger sunroof glass to prevent $1500 for a new sunroof glass.other wise I love It!

By Rob - August 30 - 12:10 amI am so happy with the purchase of my ML 350. It is so comfortable and quiet. It offers wonderful performance and and bank vault-like structure. My old car was a 2003 BMW 545. I was a afraid that because it is an SUV it wouldnt be able to cruise like my Bimmer did. After owning it for a couple weeks all my worries drifted away. My ML 350 feels faster and more willing to go fast than my Bimmer did.
