Overview & Reviews
A completely redesigned M-Class debuts for 2006.
- Fresh styling inside and out, comfortable for five, extensive array of safety features, surefooted in bad weather, easy-to-use navigation system
- V6 is short on low-end torque, no third-row seat option, expensive for its class.

Johns review - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By johngroskopf33 - March 20 - 2:56 pmThis vehicle has the best heating and air-conditioning system I have ever experienced. The optional three zone system with infared glass makes it really comfortale in the sun. The car handles very well, the speed-variable steering is a very important standard option. The optional parktronic system makes it very easy to get into the garage each day without parking by "brail". The seats are very comfortable, they allow you to drive for long distances without the normal "back-ache". It is not the cheapest vehicle, but with all the options and safety features is a bargain.

ML 350 in Orlando, Florida - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By CENTRAL FLORIDA - March 15 - 2:56 pmUmprecedented riding for an ML Class. Impossible to compare to the previous ML, but the Air Ride is a must if you want to have fun. Almost noiseless at 70 mph compared to my previous Lexus RX 330 (04). The interior plastic is disapointing for a Mercedes. I paid 65K (fully loaded). The vehicle is a firm 4x4 under heavy rain. I have with the AMG package which is $4K more, but gives an amazing different appearance from the regular ML 350. More interior leather would help the poor plastic interior( a Chrysler feature). The music component and the rear entertaiment system are a plus to keep the children quiet. The cargo space is almost double of the Lexus RX 330. Gas: 18/22 so far.

The Best ML 500 ever - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Louis - January 26 - 2:46 pmI had a 2002 BMW X5 4.4 and it was a nice SUV, but it doesnt compare to this new ML500. The quality of the ride, the comfort, performance and fun to drive. We love the changes that were made to the styling of the new ML.

Best SUV - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Faisal Farooq - December 4 - 8:36 amGreat SUV. Traded in 2003 Escalade ESV for ML500. Had test driven Range Rover Sport HSE, BMW X5 4.4 and Porsche Cayenne S, but ML500 is the best. Great Style, quality and faster than all of its competitors. 0-60 mph for ML500 is 6.7 sec. (X5 4.4 - 6.8, Porsche Cayenne S - 6.9, Range Rover Sport Super Charged - 7.3 (HSE - 8.2))

Big step up from MDX - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Mike63 - August 6 - 5:20 amJust sold my wifes MDX and picked up a 2006 ML350. While the MDX was incredibly reliable and practical, it drove like an appliance. The Benz is a big step forward in performance. The engine feels much more powerful than her 2002 MDX and the transmission is by far the most seamless Ive ever driven. Its much quieter on the highway than the MDX and just feels more substantial too. Braking is much better (not a strong suit of the Acura). Overall a great SUV. I hope it proves to be reliable.

By jdgreav es - July 24 - 11:30 pmThis model is much improved over the 2004 ML350 that I previously owned. This is my 5th ML and is far superior to previous models.

Best SUV I have ever driven - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Ray Gerbi - May 28 - 2:10 pmI have had my ML350 for 4 months now, and have driven on a couple of extended trips during that time. As well as it drives, it looks even better. Folks really check it out when I drive by! The handling is superb, and it is a very quick, comfortable machine to drive. I thought the 20.5 mpg on the highway was a tad low, but, I do have a tendency to drive a bit faster than a good speed for economical driving. My wife loves to drive the suv, and she says she feels very safe and comfortable in it. I am 67 and I have had my share of luxury vehicles. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for the safety and practicality of an SUV, and the comfort of a luxury car.

Ed`s review - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By ed - May 11 - 2:50 amHad an old Ml320 for 5 years and like it. This one is a far better car , drives better , looks better and has all this bells and whistles. It doesn`t drive like a SUV anymore. High quality vehicle.
