Pros:

  • My first MBZ - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

I love this car. ItÂ’s my first Mercedes Benz. I had a 2001 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer, and words cannot even describe the difference. Im in love, and so glad I waited. I never liked the previous body style, but this one is sleek, smooth, and beautiful. So many heads are turning when I glide by people. Dont see many on the street in Los Angeles though.

  • ML 350 an excellent buy! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

The 2006 ML350 is the best buy I have ever made. Its beautiful inside and out. Its SO much fun to drive, it rides like a car, not an SUV. It handles superb in the snow. A great buy for anyone. Believe me, if you buy this car, you will not regret it.

It was hard to find a loaded ML500, and I had to pay the price, but IT was worth it! Smooth just dosnt describe it. It will get up and go. I had an 03 E500 before this with good luck and service. I have had and still own large GMC SUVs but this is in another class, Distinctive body style, not a hybrid. You cant confuse this with a Toyota. Great attention to detail. Benz did it up right!

The driving is very smooth, it handles exceptionally well. I love the design a lot. I enjoy the stereo system and the electrical features. The trunk space is enormous and the advantage of moving the rear seats are an A plus.

  • Over priced - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Bought it with 2000 miles. My wife said not to. She was right. It rides like a light car. In the shop all the time. Way underpowered. Then purchased a Sequia what difference bigger interior better ride and better MPG. Dont buy one. My first Mercedes and my last.

  • The best car ever - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

I got the ML350 with the suede seats which are very comfortable, and the 3 zone air conditioning system which keeps everyone satisfied. I definitely recommend the purchase of the ML350.

  • A great step forward - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

The 2006 model is a giant leap over the past models. (I have previously owned a 1998 ML 320 and a 2000 ML 430.) The level of comfort, luxury and attention to detail is far better in the 2006 vehicle. I finally feel like Im riding in a Mercedes!

I have driven luxury vehicles for years, and this is certainly not a BMW 5 series. The build quality is just not there. Having said that, it was the best value for the money I could find in a SUV. I am really impressed by the gas mileage. I am getting up to 28 on the highway and 24 in town - which I find amazing. I do have a beef with the nav system - it should be mounted on the counsel for ease of use and the knob should be larger. It also seems outdated already and the lack of voice commands is a major drawback. Yes, the transmission is also flawed and it does not want to shift up as quickly as it should. All in all, though, I am very happy with my purchase.

  • Much better than previous MLs. - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

With trepidation we traded in our 00 320. When it ran it was great. But the electronics were constantly signaling trouble, sometimes turning out to be real. This is a different vehicle, a very different vehicle. It runs great, handles great, and feels great. We are impressed with our first running of it. Everything is fine (but the power steering recall is a bit of a concern, but at least they are fixing it) but the navigation system takes some learning (I wish we had a 12-year old to do this for us). The finish is fine, the acceleration is very good, and the ride outstanding. We like it and look forward to this being the ML and MB we have wanted.

  • Nice effort - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Just traded my wifes Lexus LX470 for the new ML. Nice car. She found the LX too big for her to drive as she does not drive the freeways, so in a smaller segment, this is the best product out there. Not enough standard features for a 50k auto! Dont compare it with the LX470. Other than that, this car has more bang for the buck than any other SUV on the road!
