Overview & Reviews
All M-Class models get an interior facelift available in one of three new colors, optional third-row seating and a Touch Shift automanual transmission. ML320 buyers get body-color bumpers and trim, real walnut inside, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, revised interior fabric, seatback map pockets and footwell lamps. In addition to these items, a standard navigation system, high-grade leather, and heated seats come on all ML430s.
- Lots of interior space, quite comfortable, carlike ride and handling, excellent snow vehicle.
- Poor reputation of build quality, looks like a minivan, not particularly adept off-road.

SMALL PROBLEMS ANNOY YOU - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By ML320annoying - December 10 - 2:00 amI was surprised with the fact that I had to go back to my dealer several times a year starting from 2nd yr for small problems, such as window switch, door handle, equipment panel lights, brake light bulbs. It is really annoying and disappointing. Horsepower does not seem to be enough. Overall I like the car, its ext design, its handling as a SUV, and its Cargo space. Maybe ML 430 is better.

Satisfaction - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Pastis - December 5 - 2:00 amHard ride. Defrost system clumsy to operate. Have to be constantly careful steering because it is very sensitive. Like being high. No place to put purse in front when there is someone in passenger seat. Great storage at waste high trunk. Dont like having to pay for highest octane gasoline. Good ride on interstates. Feel every bump on local streets.

Best of 16 Vehicle Ive owned. - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By GinJersey - November 29 - 10:00 amOf the 16 vehicles (cars, vans, SUVs) Ive owned, this has the best value and utility. I have over 48,000 miles, and although there have been some minor problems with the rear seat, the over- all performance and use-ability of this vehicle is great. There is lots of room, great visibility, enough power to pass trucks and great braking. I have never driven a vehicle with more "sure- footedness". I am never fearfull in the rain or snow. The comfort level is very good, and I get 20 MPG over-all (22 highway).

Nice SUV - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class

Hard Worker - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By deboese - March 12 - 10:00 amVehicle is driven daily commute and hauls my bass boat. Delievered quality was good. Minimal maintenance has been needed. Except in snow, >9 in., vehicle goes with minimal fuss. It tries its best to keep you from doing stupid things. Driving position is generally good and seats supportive. However on long drives >6 hrs. could use more thigh support. length. More than adequate power to tow my 21 bassboat (~4200 Lbs. Combat Loaded). Heater/AC is acceptable but noisy at high fan speeds. Cheap interior plastics are a put down. Off Road activity has been acceptable but not rubicon capable. The lack of a full size spare tire is not good.

You would expect more from M-B. - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Joes ML 320 - September 17 - 10:00 amFirst experience with M-B., and a frustrating one, had to be taken to the shop at least 10 times in the past 2 and half years, and was helped by road side assistance at least 6 times more, excellent treatment everytime at shop, but please....for $40K you would expect more. Shame on you M-B, to have this black sheep among your other exquisite siblings...

ML430 - 2000 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By cdrsdad - April 9 - 6:00 pmI waited a while to write this review because of the negatives I have read about the Mercedes-Benz ML430. I purchased this truck as a certified used vehicle. Other than the poor fuel economy, I could not be happier. Service on this truck has been far cheaper than on my previous Mercedes-Benz wagon. Some of the interior trim has a little trouble wih the dog...meaning he broke it. I love the GPS and the Bose stereo. I am at 75,000 miles and the truck still looks close to new. One other problem is that the odd tire size means very few choices for replacements.
