Overview & Reviews
Late in 2003, the ML350 replaced the ML320, meaning a larger (3.5-liter) V6 with 232 horsepower supplanted the 215-horse, 3.2-liter V6 used previously. The AMG-tuned ML55 has been discontinued, while a DVD-based navigation system is now optional for the ML350.
- Safe, comfortable, brisk performance, surefooted in bad weather.
- On-road handling eclipsed by newer crossover SUVs, gets pricey fast if buyer gets tempted by too many options.

Better than my first one - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Stan Long - March 8 - 2:00 amThis is my second ML in 4 years. The 350s interior design is greatly improved, over the 2000 320. The center console is more functional and the rear A/C controls is a welcome addtion. I also like the larger wheels, they made for a smoothier ride.

Terrific vehicle - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Cary Chip - December 14 - 2:00 amSuperlative car. Probably safest car on the road. Very comfortable. Two complaints: lousy gas milage and stereo controls not well thought out. Stereo sounds great though.

Pocket Rocket - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By gajeffo - September 14 - 1:43 amWell Im still OK with this car. Just put new tires on it, Toyo Proxys, and it seems to have gotten rid of the road noise. The Dunlops stink! They just seem to be way too soft and as they got some age on them the ride was terrible, bouncing and swaying everywhere. This car has had zero problems mechanically and the dealership replaced the 2 back side panels as the clearcoat was coming off. (each side of the rear glass) I still think that for the money Mercedes could put a little more into this vehicle. ie: lumbar, power tilt and telescopic wheel. But go see if your Lexus can move like this!

My New SUV - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By LoriLuLu - August 8 - 2:00 amHad it 2 weeks. It rides too much like a truck but otherwise Im very happy with it. My last Mercedes was a sedan and the ride was much smoother but hated being the little guy not Im big and tall like all the other SUVs.

ML350 - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By mmthskr - August 8 - 2:00 amPurchased as "Cross over vehicle" to reduce cars in the family. Use MBZ now both as in town car and as an SUV for snow covered mountain transportation. First trip in the snow car performed very well. No slipping, easy handling. Plenty of room for cargo and a large dog. Easy to handle and park in the city as well.

No Regrets - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By noregret - January 3 - 12:10 pmBought this SUV somewhat worried about quality but it has been terrific. It is a joy to ride and I and peace of mind with my family in it. We have driven it on snow, ice, freeway, mountain roads, towed waverunners and it passes with flying colors!

How can you forget me? - 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Keih - December 31 - 2:00 amLove this vehicle except for the electronic quirks. Every so often the doors lock and will not unlock even with the key and certainly not with the remote. The memory seats lose their memory and the console computer loses the date and the language defaults to German. I have had it in three times for this and even changing the computer has not stopped these intermident problems. However, over all I am very satisfied with the power, finish and reliability of the M-Class
