Overview & Reviews
A completely redesigned M-Class debuts for 2006.
- Fresh styling inside and out, comfortable for five, extensive array of safety features, surefooted in bad weather, easy-to-use navigation system
- V6 is short on low-end torque, no third-row seat option, expensive for its class.

Wonderful - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Ray M - February 19 - 6:26 pmIt is an excellent and quite ride and the entertainment package makes the sound system sound phenomenal. Also the power for a V6 is excellent and blows away the Cayenne that I sold last year.

We love this car! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By baj764 - February 12 - 11:00 pmThis is a vast improvement over previous M-Class vehicles. They were nice but not like this. The direction that MB has gone with the M, R & G Class vehicles is great. I believe that they set the standard for how a luxury SUV should be.

Great SUV! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By spikeya4 - January 11 - 7:03 amHaving heard some initial horror stories about reliability, there was a tinge of nervousness mixed into all of the excitement of the new car. I had the ML350 built-to-order and waited over three months for its arrival. Since that point I can tell you it was worth the wait and the reliability has been outstanding! This SUV is solid both inside and out and my only problem was that the power lift gate would not seal (which was fixed promptly). I am very impressed with the quality and appeal of this vehicle and would recommend it to anyone in the midsize SUV arena, it far surpasses anything from BMW/Lexus/Volvo, etc.

Why go for an imitation when MB is best? - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Walter - December 31 - 7:33 pmI expected an excellent vehicle and Mercedes-Benz delivered far more than that in this 2006 ML350. Each and every segment and system is flawless. With the air-ride it handles like a sports car, nimble and sure footed, and the power plant runs you down the road like a bat outta hell. The highway mileage is about 24+ cruising at 70 MPH, around town about 17mpg. After looking and driving all the other manufacturers current offerings, many had some similar characteristics, but none had them all in such a well put together, comfortable, and driving machine. A must buy for any serious luxury SUV shopper

ML350 New Owner - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Fordpi - November 30 - 2:23 amWe have only put about 600 miles on it. I am a strong Toyota fan and my husband loves his Yukon, but the comfort of the ML350 is inspiring. We continually fight over who gets the Mercedes. The seats wrap around you and the ride is quiet. It is roomy, but not too big.

Fantastic! - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Jon - October 19 - 10:40 amA beautiful, thrilling blast to drive. The ML500 is eye catching and the performance matches the wonderful design. I have owned many vehicles, This tops the list, and I am glad my Volvo XC90 is history.

One of the best in the class. - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Peter - August 5 - 8:30 pmCompared to the previous years model, the redesigned 2006 model is more stable on the road, has better suspension, and perfect acceleration in this line of SUVs. Test drove Infiniti, BMW, Acura. ML is by far better in pretty much any of the categories - road and curve handling, braking, acceleration. Fun to drive.

An exceptional SUV - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By New_Merc_Fan - July 31 - 6:40 amThe new ML 350 is a pleasure to drive compared the previous model. Very aerodynamic with good acceleration. Interior styling is awesome. Road handling is fantastic and it handles turns exceptionally well for an SUV. Navigation system is great. Its been a great experience so far.

NICE...BUT CMON.... - 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
By Ross - July 8 - 5:20 pmThe car is truly beautiful from the outside and wonderful to drive. You have to get the V8. There is probably only 1 mpg difference but a huge difference in power. The only thing is that the inside is soooooo simple. The interior is ok but cmon, Mercedes really hasnt changed anything on the inside in 100 years. Old buttons, mediocre nav. It makes you wonder about the price when far-inferior cars look amazing on the inside in comparison. Little leg room in the back. Mercedes is a driving machine, yes. But for $60,000- plus (with AMG), I want my cars interior looking a little better than a Honda... dont you think?
