This Year's Model Updates:

The CLK coupe is revamped this year and its sleeker body sports a grille that echoes the bigger (and much more expensive) CL coupe's. Other news include the CLK430 becoming the CLK500 via a larger, more powerful V8 engine. The convertible ("Cabriolet") models are unchanged.

Pros:
  • Sleek styling, solid chassis, composed ride, comfortable front seats.
Cons:
  • Some subpar plastic trim, convertibles have small backseat and big blind spots.

  • I love my clk 430 cabriolet - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I wanted a convertible with a backseat. I almost bought a BMW 645 / 650 cabrio used, but found this low miles beauty for almost half the price at the same dealership. No regrets!

This is absolutely the best car I have ever owned....The kudos I get from people who see it and give a thumbs up as they drive by is all too frequent. Best buy for the buck on the market today.

I made the right choice, buying CLK500 instead of CLK320. I ordered the car without test driving one, but it turned out to be just fine! This is a fun car to drive. Excellent road handilng and engine power!

  • First Benz, not my last. Some problems - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I hear many people say they wait for their benzs. I bought my 2003 CLK 320 right off of the lot and insisted on a discount too. I have never bought a car or helped a person buy a car, and I help many, without a discount off the sticker price. And what is with all the statistics stating the average buyer is 45-50, male and makes over $95000? I am none of those, I am 32, and make a good bit less than that. I know how to budget too. I would recomend a benz even with such faults. All of my friends with cars of all makes have complaints.

  • Great Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I purchased this car from a coworker. It has been wonderful from the beginning (including when my coworker owned it). Because I didnt purchase it new it isnt equipped the way I would. e.g., I would want navigation and rear backup sensors. But Ive had very few mechanical issues and have definitely enjoyed ownership.

I brought the car for the engine and overall fun to drive qualities. You dont see many on the road and with some nice wheels look different from others. Without having to spend a $100,000, I can out run most cars. It is really a sleeper a the red light.

  • Great car with some quirks - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
    By -

After 3 months the rear sunshade and AC display had to be replaced. Nothing major in my opinion. The car is has a high head turning quotient and handles flawlessly and predictably. The V6 engines rumble has more than enough pick up to justify $9K less than the V8.

  • My new Benz! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I was drawn to this car based on its 2003 redesign.
