This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

  • I love my M-B ! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Excellent ride, smooth tranny, quiet engine, superb handling & cornering. First class exterior and looks like scaled down, much more expensive S- Class. I have it for two weeks now and no problems so far.It has far superior ride and exterior design than Audi A4 and Volvo S60 that I also test drove. The interior is not as sophisticated as Audis but much better than Volvos. The engine is strong enough for quick take-offs from the line and has enough reserve for additional kick when passing at 75 mph. Auto-tranny is as good as it can possibly be. Suspension is perfect balance between sporty feel of Audi and cruiser feel of Volvo.

I have had this car for only two days, but I thoroughly enjoy it. Great handling and smooth ride (feels like driving on glass).

  • 2003 Mercedes-Benz C320 - Odd butt, but I love it - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Ive owned my 2003 Mercedes-Benz C320 for almost two years and 7,000 miles without any no problems. I love it, and my wife has to tear the keys out my hands every couple weeks to borrow it for the day. It still feels new, looks new, and drives like it cost twice the money. If I could only find an AMG motor and brakes to drop into it...

  • Best car I have ever owned - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Before purchasing this car I looked at and drove the CTS, BMW 3, and the ES330. This is by far the best of the lot. If offers a very comfortable, quiet ride and many features that are standard with the C240 and not even available with the others. Full maintenance is included in the warranty. This vehicle is a joy to drive every day.

Dont be put off by the C230s 189hp. It is more than enough. Bi-xenon headlights are a must because the standard headlights are not clear, check some pictures. The car handles well and gets pretty good fuel economy. The standard audio is decent and the front seats are terrific, the back seats are also nice, but dont offer a lot of leg room. The build quality was excellent, I never had any problems. The only thing to be aware of is that the sport tires have to be replaced every 15,000 miles (about $1,000). I recommend the tire rack if you are looking to save money. We just sold ours for a 2005 C230 (pewter).

  • New 2003 C240 Sedan - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

All in all, I love my new Mercedes Benz C240. Its comfortable with both short distant stop and goes, and long distant trips. Luxury abounds.. which is a nice change from the older more spartan Mercedes. Definately a good buy in my opinion. With 4 years of service included from Mercedes, you cant go wrong.

I absolutely LOVE this car! It is so much fun to drive and its appearance catches the eye of nearly all who see it. Although small, which I like, it has a lot of room inside. Even tall guys have no problems. LOVE IT!

  • Fun small car! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

I have owned this car for almost 6 months and have placed 2500 miles on the odometer (cant drive many miles on Oahu). Overall, the car has been fun to drive. It is small and compact for the small parking slots here in Hawaii, but large enough in the interior to comfortably fit myself at six foot tall. So far, only minor rattles and noises. A solidly built vehicle with great steering and braking but could use a little more low end torque for this heavy of a vehicle.
