This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

  • amazing car, completley satisfied - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

my parents bought the car back in march for my for my 16th bday (driving age in fl is 16) and id have to say im completely satisfied with it. yeah im probably a baby compared to most people on this site, but i still think my input couldnt hurt. the car runs great, i love hearing the engine roar from 4000 to 5000 rpms every so often, and i get lots of looks in it haha. i can definitely tell the difference between the 230 and 320 models, the v6 improves performance like no other - its a little rocket! id recommend it to anyone looking for a great car in this price range - i chose it over the audi a4, lexus IS300, and bmw 325i.

Fun car to drive. Good experience at the dealership experience. Cars great. has 25-30 more standard features than in BMW 3 series. The features are nifty and absolutely wonderful. Great fuel economy for a 3.2 l V6.

  • what is not to like on a C240 - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

this car has one main drawback and that is the dash control design. In bright sunshine its almost impossible to read the orange lettering on the dash. I have experienced only one problem with this car which walters corrected and that is the computer that detects the braking force also detects other functions. Otherwise it runs faultlessly in city and on the highway.

I only had this car for 2 weeks so its difficult for me to give an in-depth evaluation. This car is competitively priced with other vehicles in its class. Great value for a car wearing a badge that was once reserved for the wealthy few. I have had one problem so far. The gas gauge registered 1/2 full when I ran out of gas. The dealer said its a known problem with the C-Class and they will repair it under warranty.

Before I purchased mine, I came to this site.I got the car with the premium pk (C5,C1-elect seats, plus the cd player). It was really worth it to get these extras. This car is sooooo easy to get around in. Big on front seat comfort but easy for parking. So far really hugs the road-will see what winter brings. My last car was the XJ8 Jaguar- so I was used to luxury and speed plus troubles with service. So far I really like this car.

  • Great AWD Wagon - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I live in rural area; moderate to heavy snow; steep hills. Car performs beautifully in winter conditions. On highway, it feels like a larger and heavier car, although it is slightly smaller and lighter than my previous car.

I dont have many miles on the car yet, but so far Im impressed by the quiteness, solid feel of the ride and controls, and the maneuverability provided by rack and pinion steering with rear wheel drive. Ive driven the larger S Class Mercedes and this C230 gives you the same substantial feel of quality. I suggest you get the leather interior because the cloth interior design cheapens its appearance (looks like the cloth in a Tercel or Neon. UGHHH!). To us, it didnt matter if the badge said Mercedes or Daewoo, we realized it was well-built, good- looking, functional car that was also enjoyable to drive. A lot of car for the price.

Just got this car 2 weeks ago. Have put on 1200 miles so far. Very responsive, quick when needed, very stylish, great gas milage. Does need to improve cup holders, cruise control lever, and the front window always seem to fog up no matter what setting I put the ac controls on. Should be able to keep this car many years.
