  • Nothing to Complain About - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

With over 167,000 miles on my 2004 and synthetic Mobil 1 oil since the beginning my car is my second home and more reliable than most of my so called friends. Commuting, traveling, or just cruising is a delight in my C230 nicknamed "Jett" (supercharger). My first Mercedes when I turned 40 and will not be my last. Would love to get the 4-door version in the future. Buy it you wont be disappointed, if you take care of it.

  • Love this car! - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I drove an SLK 320 and traded it in for c320 because I wanted a car that was more practical. I dont know why there are bad reviews about the car, I guess some of these people were unlucky and got the defects. Anyhow, I love this car! It is smooth, luxurious, and comfortable. I cant ask for more! I havent had any problems since.

  • BMW owner buys a Benz - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I priced a 325I & a C230. With the same options the Benz came in $3K less and had more bells & whistles. The acceleration on the Benz is excellent from the 1.8SC engin. The sport suspension makes the car hold the road very very well. I compare this car to my 91 525, which was the best car I ever owned. The C230 driver seat SUCKS. There is no lumbar support. No upgrading to the multi-contour seat unless you spend $10k more & go to the C320. The std radio is a big disappointment. The bass is hardly noticeable. When you start off slowly the electronic trans gets confused & the car bucks. The car is worth the $30K.

  • M-B Wagon - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Great wagon! It is fun to drive and has all wheel drive. The gas milage is bad however. Very peppy engine. Spacious interior.

  • Nice car but too small - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

We really like the car. It has good power and looks great. The star on the hood gets respect. Dont plan on having this car be your family car. Its just too small. Great as a single persons car or a married couple. The car has never left us stranded but has been in the shop often. Were going to trade down to a Chevy. Were also concerned about the cost of repairs after the warranty expires.

  • Great Car for Price - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Feels very substantial for a small car. Very reliable. Fun to drive -- great pick-up in the higher rpm range above 40 mph.

  • Great car - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

A great car. Although considered a compact car it feels like a full size sedan on the road. Comfortable and fun to drive with many great features. The air conditioner is the best, very smooth ride, excellent braking, and sound system. I love seeing the Mercedes Benz hood ornament while sitting behind the wheel, like I need to be reminded that Im driving a Mercedes

  • 2004 C230 Kompressor - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I purchased this vehicle appox. 3 weeks ago. Its performance if good, a little sluggish when the AC is on but, not bad. There is very little room in the rear seats if you are tall and have the front seats all the way back. I have put 2500 miles on it so far with no concerns. Nicely equipt, the cost is approx. $34,000 + taxes . I would recommend it to other buyers. I had a 22001 BMW 3 series but, didnt like the ride. The Mercedes is much more comfortable while driving then the BMW. I also have a 2001 SLK Convertible which is fun to drive. Overall I am happy with both.

  • C32 AMG 1 YR - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Decent car: AMG did well on engine; suspension. My 1st automatic/"tiptronic transmission - hate it!! Too boring. Other: Tach way too small & should be in center for this car. Indicator light for speedo stays fixed - Dumb. Gear selection indicator - way too small - dumb. Self dimming rear view mirrors - cant judge cars behind - way too dangerous! & dumb. Elec windows either go all the up or down; have to take eyes off road to adjust - dumb. Car should CENTER BETTER on any road. I thought this would be a fun sedan; just too sedate (except speed) and boring in just about every category. Little character for the money. Plan to give up.

CL 230K has wonderful accelerating speed, and shifts gears automatically w/out notice, just keeps accelerating, also great passing speed on the highway. Great entry-level vechile for Mercedes if you want to start getting into Mercedes
