This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

  • Fun at a great price - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I love my little Mercedes. It is so distinctive to look at and very fun to drive. It never lets me down. When I press the pedal down - off we go. I was a little leary about buying a starter level Mercedes - the thought of paying for just the name. mBut that wasnt so. What is so is the dealerships treats me like royalty, whether is spent $27K or $270K. THey and Mercedes have made a believer out of me. I dont think Id ever go back to a non-Mercedes vehicle. Buy it with confidence and Enjoy!

  • What other good looking AWD sedan? - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I spent a long time thumbing my nose at the snobs who put down good money at these luxury cars. With Canadian winters the way they are, I was looking for a decent small AWD sedan, and to cut to the chase, I ended buying this car. Lets face it, as far as good looking AWD that handles well, this has no real competition today. Sure, it puts a hole in your finances, but think about it, would you be happier driving a Suzuki Aerio or a Toyota Matrix when you see someone drive by with a C240 4MATIC? Never mind.

  • Fun to drive - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

This car is very fun and pratical. Lots of looks and comments. Ive owned the car for 2 months and no problems so far. Looked at the Audi A- 4 and VW Passat, Infiniti G-35. This is a better car by far than the others.

I love this car & it handles very well. The CD disc changer in the glove compartment is nice. I also like the 1 touch feature. Although Ive had a lot of small things go wrong. They arent major, just in inconvience to take it to the dealer.

  • Great ride - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I have now owned this car for 2 1/2 years and thought an update would be appropriate. I purchased this car in Honolulu but have since moved to the mainland. This car has been from Louisiana to California twice and to Chicago and back once. All three of these trips averaged around 29 MPG, with an average speed nearing 75 MPH! Not bad. The last trip was a 1705 mile trip over two days; I had no back pain with very few stops. This car does have more creaks and rattles than I would like, is very small, and doesnt handle much luggage, but for a work day runner and with the cost of gas today, I still made a fantastic choice.

  • Oh so smooth! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Have had it for eight months now and simply love my C230. Solid road performance; accelerates, handles, responds. Smooth ride. Sunroof makes it feel like a convertible. Controls easily accessible. Had problems with the sound system (CD and antenne stopped working) but the MB dealer fixed both in no time, hassle free.

  • I Love My MB! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

Ive had my MB C320 4Matic for two years now and I just love it. I live in Alaska and endure a lot of miserable winter weather with icy roads, deep snow and -40F. At first, I was concerned that the severe cold would have a negative effect on the performance, however, just the opposite. My car flawlessly handles all of the bad road conditions, provides a graceful, comfortable ride with superb handling. I will never own anything else but a Mercedes. My husband is frustrated that the car requires using Super Unlead Fuel, especially with these high fuel prices, but I think its worth it. Oh...I love the heated seats, too! Its a very safe vehicle and one Im proud to be driving!

  • First Benz - C230 RWD Sport Sedan - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

The smallest of Benz sedans, the C230 RWD Sport Sedan is well worth the money. The C230 is very roomy with plenty of interior, front and rear, passenger room as well as plenty of trunk space. Its great on gas, I am averaging about 28 mpg highway driving. Its a blast to drive, although rear wheel drive isnt the best in the snow.

  • What a fantastic commuter car! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

I have 10,000 miles on my first benz and absolutely love my long commute now! The car has been a dream to own and I am blessed to ride in such luxury to work each day. I researched several other entry level sedans and drove the audi A-4, BMW 3 series, Lexus ES 300, Infinity G35 and kept coming back to the Mercedes C240. There was no comparison in my mind that the Benz was far superior to the other autos. The price is so reasonable for what you get. The dealership actually let me take the car home for two days to test it out! I have been extremely pleased with the performance and comfort of the C240!
