This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

This is a solid, quiet, fast, sporty, comfy riding, economical, comfortable on long trips, reasonably priced vehicle. The automatic is slower shifting than the manual but is versatile. Brakes are strong & progressive. Lighting systems & controls are sturdy/effective. Very roomy with back seats down. A bit awkward to back up due to lack of clear rear view or side rear views. Tracks well and feels secure and safe. Great car.

I just bought my C240, and I love it. Im now a Mercedes customer for life. I like all the added features - 4 years of scheduled service, etc. The car is a dream to drive - its ultra smooth no matter how fast youre going. The seats are comfortable, too. I test drove the 240 and the 320, and didnt feel a whole lot of difference in the horse power. I didnt feel that the "added" features on the 320 were worth an extra $5,000 to $6,000 on the price of the car.

Great Fun Ride, love the sound system and the feel behind the wheel. Could do better with suspension like BMW does, and the black paint can get spiderwebs which do not look good after awhile. You have to keep buffing.

Bought the C230 a year ago and even though its my winter/work car still managed to put 15,000 trouble free miles on it. Rear wheel drive got along great in Wisconsin winter as long as there were Blizzacks on all four corners. Have had no problems, get 34mpg hyway, fun to downshift the automatic. Had a BMW 325i before but got tired of seeing myself around every corner so bought the c230. Steering seemed loose at first compaired to BMW but now am getting use to it. Overall OK car.

  • Fun car, great buy! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Picked up my Citron Green C230 up 2 ½ weeks ago. Love it! Car is great, smooth, fun to drive, & looks sporty. Bi-xenon lights add a whole new look to the car. Panorama roof really makes the cabin open. The leather has a great feel, seats are firm yet comfy & the power seats add a touch of luxury. Aluminum trim contrasts well with the charcoal interior. C7 package is the best deal going w/ 17" wheels, larger exhaust tip, & short throw shifter. Base price is a gr8 buy, but options really add up fast. Before I knew it I paid $35k out the door. Tho it was a special order (an additional $1150) it was definitely worth the $$$ and wait!

This is a great car, even though that it is the cheapest Mercedes sold. Its a fun car to drive and still has all of the safety features expected from a Mercedes. The leather makes a huge difference over the cloth and gives the car that luxury feel. Panorama sunroof makes the ride enjoyable for rear seat passengers and there is enough room in the back for full sized adults. Overall, an excellent car.

Unbelievable!!! If you have never owned a Benz before, what a great place to start. A warning, however-- it is a drug from which you will never recover. Meaning-- you will never be able to go back! I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

Very nice quality. Very good value for the 3 pointed star. Enging smooth and linear and fun to drive. Fit and finish like a 120K Mercedes! Very reliable. Shousld hold its value nicely.

  • I will never buy another brand of car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

After being stationed in Europe and having a chance to drive the 3 major brands of European autos (Audi, BMW, and Mercedes). I was already a bit biased towards Mercedes Benz for the comfort of the ride alone. After purchasing the C320 with the 4-matic and having driven it for awhile now, I am just amazed at how well this car handles and performs. On longer trips, my wife has trouble staying awake because the ride is so smooth, a feat not accomplished in other vehicles weve owned.
