  • New C-320 4matic - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I traded in the the 96 C280 on a C3204matic.Love all the new safety equipment--brake assist,ESP,8 airbags,6 disc CD changer, etc. After driving RWD Benzs for 15 yrs this AWD is like learning how to drive all over again. Its fabulous! However this car has a VERY annoying glare from the dash onto the windshield--seems to be there nearly all the time. MB needs to go back to black at the top dashes as VW,Audi,BMW and several Japanese cars have done.

Although the gas mileage isnt quite as good as my two previous Mercedes (a 1988 E-320 and a 2001 E-320) the performance -- steering, cornering, acceleration, and stopping characteristics are much better; therefore, making this C-320 Sport Sedan much fun to drive. Also, I think, it looks terrific; particularly, with the 17 inch differential rim size front and rear wheels. The wheels combined with high performance tires along with a sport-tuned suspension system provide outstanding road manners. Oh, by the way, ODE2JOY is the SC license tag that this car carries.

  • Be prepared for regular mechanic visits - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Best feature that attracted me is the comfort. Sitting in the car is almost as enjoyable as my living room couch (makes all the difference sitting in LA traffic). However by now I can probably write a book about all my mechanical visits (cheapest one being $450) ranging from transmission to power steering pump to sensor malfunction. Ill never buy a Mercedes in the future due to reliability issues because I know its just a matter of time before my next break-down. P.S. The car has 65K miles, I am the original owner and I take great care of it.

  • Fun and Value - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Ive owned my C230 Kompressor sedan for almost 7 years now and its as fun to drive as ever. Ive got the six speed manual transmission, so the car is really responsive jetting around town, yet retains a smooth luxurious feel on the highway in the higher gears. I havent had any major repairs in 7 years, though the lock mechanism on the left rear door has just started to malfunction within the last month. All in all a great car, thats been lots of fun to drive, at a very good value, if you consider I paid around $32K for it and drove it for almost seven years.

The MB C230 is extreamly fun to drive and an absolute pleasure to own. Numerouse safty and comfort features reasure the driver and give it a smooth ride usually associated with larger cars, coupled with the agility of a small sports coupe.

  • Great little sporty car - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

    Great little sporty luxury vehicle.

  • Solid and Fun - 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Never thought Id use the word "fun" to describe a wagon, but this one has plenty of power, and handles almost as well as my 328i, which is impressive for a wagon. Solid construction, interior is roomier than I was expecting given the cars dimensions. Enough cargo space to meet our needs on long trips (2 adults + 2 kids). Rear seats fold down flat, giving lots of hauling room when needed, and cargo floor is "flush" with a low loading height--no need to lift objects over a lip to get them in the back.
