This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

  • Oh What Fun - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I just got my car in June of this year and find every excuse to go out and drive it. It is responsive, fun and good looking. My only complaint is that it uses premium fuel, but I just love it.

My car has the optional Sport Package which, although making it ride a little stiffer than other MBs, makes it handle alot like the BMW 330XI which I also considered. After comparing the two, I chose the MB, but it was close. I dont regret the choice. This car is great on the road, on trips, in the snow (mine is 4matic), and just going to the corner! No problems.

We purchased our c320 used with under 60.000 miles on it. I could have had a new Corola but why when for less money I could drive the cute little Benz? After nearly 2 years of ownership I was struck in the drivers side door by a truck. I was nearly sitting still at the time but he was going at least 35 mph. I was rushed to a local trauma center, with the damage the car took officials feared I wouldnt service. The airbags deployed, the door was pushed in about a foot but I left the hospital the same day with only a broken arm. The safety rating is accurate, now Im a devoted Mercedez driver.

  • Certified pre-owned, what a great car... - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Bought a black on in June, certified with just under 25k miles. I drive just over 900 miles/week,almost all highway, rest is 2 lane winding county road. The car is quick and quiet, with a smooth and well contolled ride. I drive aggressively, this car is very responsive. Just had heavy ground frost and icing, 4matic lets me accelerate into traffic with confidence. This is a very sporty car with the utility of a wagon. Drove BMWX3,BMW325Xi, VW 4motion GLS and W8,this was much nicer. Best praise, just bought another one today for my wife, certified 03 with just over 19K since we both like this one so much. Cargo room is small for a wagon, but plenty big when the rear seats are folded down.

Real fun to drive, Solid design, Excellent acceleration. Compared to the Acura RSX, the torque on the C230 crushes the Acura, hands down. Overall, a safe, and fun car to drive. Usually, safety and fun dont often go together but in this car, it just does.

  • My first Mercedes - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Having driven many Mercedes in past but never owning one until now, I am not disappointed. I bought mine barely used with only 3000 miles on it over 18 months ago and the true market value on Edmunds for Private Party sale is about the same as what I originally paid. Great value for the money. Would considering buying again when the next model comes out. Definitely worth buying compared to comparably priced cars such as Accord V6, Acura RSX, etc.

  • The best car Ive owned.... - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Absolutly the best car i have owned to date, i have had 18 others so far, looked at a4,g35,325s,jetta,accord,altima and many more, this car has the most complete package, the best 4 year value and the shinny MB star

it has been 1 year since we got our mb serie c kompressor and we are delighted with the performance, the conform and the look., it gives yoy and extra incentive to go out into the concrete jungle.

  • Awesome - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The 230k w/auto rocks. I get so many complements. I had both a bmw(which i sold within 2 months of having it b/c the reliability was awful) and an Infiniti G35 coupe (it looks nice on the outside, but the ride was awful, the interior was cheap, and it didnt even have a armrest). Finally, I decided to move to the MB family and it was the best decision.
