This Year's Model Updates:

Changes are light this year. Mercedes' "4Matic" all-wheel-drive system is now available for sedan and wagon models (the C32 sport sedan being the lone exception) and the C230 Sport Coupe's supercharged engine has been revised for greater efficiency and lower emissions. A six-speed manual gearbox is available for the C320 models, and a supercharged C230 Sport Sedan is now available as well.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from V6 engine.
Cons:

This is my first Mercedes and I must say that I am impressed. Everything about this car seems solid. The standard features are excellent and the handling is very sporty for a sedan.

The car is an absolute joy to own/drive. Many people who ride in it cant believe that it is "only a V6." I tested this against the M3 and honestly it just came down to the extra 2 doors. You couldnt go wrong with either one.

Bought vehicle for around town transportation for one person. Is great for this. Have taken it cross country. Performed very well. Suprisingly solid, quiet and smooth at highway speeds.Have had no repairs. Has good acceleration and gets wonderful gas mileage i.e. 29 MPG @ 80 MPH.

Cant understand why there are not many of the c320 4matic wagons on the road. Drives better than the sedan. looks better than the sedan. and still holds skis and snowboard inside or on top.

  • Great Car - Styling is unbeatable! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I am as well a first time MB owner and given my experience with this car, I look forward to my next MB. This car is a great driving car, comfort, safety, responsive and great handling at high speed. Having read these reviews I agree with may points: I’m 6’ and find the interior room adequate. Styling is outstanding as compared to other cars in this range… btw I think BMW needs a new design team…yuck. As far as the cup holder and temp controls, I do agree, seems to take more effort than necessary, but my decision criteria generally involves other features.

I just got my first MB and impressed by how the car feels - very solid and compact at the same time. Now I now myself there is MERCEDES and other cars in the word.

  • very unique automobile - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I bought the car about 7 weeks ago and absolutely love this vehicle. Not many vehicles impress me since I work in the automobile collision industry- but this one does. Sold a Lexus Is300 for this vehicle and Im glad I did. Dont get me wrong, the lexus has a bit better quality control than the Benz but there is just something about German cars that make them so much more enjoyable to drive. This car feels as if it was chiseled out of stone. Fit and finish is typically German and everywhere I go, people look at me like with wonder, bewilderment and then envy for having such a nice vehicle at the ripe old age of 29.

  • All in one for me - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I have had the car for a little over three months, so this is clearly not a long term review. My review in terms of rating 1-10 are conservative, because a new car is always going to be rated a ten in things like reliability, but how do you know after three months. Aside from that, I think this is a great car. The group this car is classified in is a 5 speed manual, but mine is a auto/tipronic awd c320 sport. I didnt want a japense car, because they are too light when S hits the fan. Its a bit expensive, but I think they should raise the price more. This is a mercedes, reflect that in its pricing even more with the sport versions.

  • Love our C240 - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

The car is everything I thought a Mercedes would be when I bought it. The only problem I have had with the C240 was the AM radio it was the pits it ,was a static box on AM Only. However the service from Mercedes Benz and the Dealer was Excellent. They loan me a vehicle while it was worked on. and repaired the problem. The use of Moblie one oil which allows you to drive 10,000 miles betwen oil changes. The gas milage on the road 28 to 29 mpg. it was advertised at 24 mpg GOOd surprise.

  • Fun to drive with some problems - 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

As, I read in one of the reviews on this page, I also came across the leaking fluid in my garage on the first day beacuse of the defective seal, now I think I took another appointment with the dealer to check the problem with some noice on the right side front wheel. I never expected like this from Mercedes, I will never ever buy a Mercedes again.
