  • Wow! Thats not a Wagon - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

Just got my 2005 Mazda 6 Sport wagon. I know why Mazda left out the word STATION in wagon. This car handles nothing like a station wagon, but rather a sports car with the space of a wagon. The comfort and quality for a loaded car with 6 speed automatic/leather/Bose sound/17 inch wheels/ remote starter/ and a sun-moon roof for under $35,000 CDN. Great Deal! Get One!

The car is comfortable for people who are tall and large, plenty of room.

This is a great vehicle. It is sleek and fun to drive. I have enjoyed it for the 2 years that I have owned it. If you are looking for a nice ride that is functional, than the Mazda6 is for you.

We purchased the car 4 years ago with 40K miles and currently have 82K miles. This has been an excellent car. While it is a station wagon it drives and handles very well, more like a sports sedan. The V-6 and six speed auto is a very good combination of performance and mileage. It also has a very good Bose aduio system. The heater, heated seats and AC all preform well. We have not had any maintenace issues other than the standard upkeep of tires, brakes, etc.

  • Great Wagon with Sports Car Feel - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

I traded my 02 Passat for the wagon ... that lets my wife drive a sedan rather than her Volvo wagon. I was impressed with the interior design/colors and the exterior color (I have the Firemist red with tan interior ... looks very sharp and Ive gotten a number of favorable comments). Ive liked the responsiveness of the engine and the manual transmission is very nice. Weve taken two longer road trips (one at 2200 miles and the other at 1200 miles) -- its a very comfortable highway car. The Sirius radio option is a delight on highway cruises as well. Around town, it gets decent mileage and handles well. Im pleased with the purchase & the end-of-year discounts!

Going into my fifth year (at 92000 miles) with my 2005 Mazda6S GT, Im still enjoying the driver oriented experience baked into this car from day one. Only reliability issues Ive encountered are the headlights burning out and a strut bearing causing noise. Otherwise, taking good care to replace general maintenance items has kept the car in good working condition, and I dont baby the car. The relationship between driver and car, in regards to seating position, steering, throttle, and general feel is fantastic. Refinement could be better (2006+ models are noticeably more refined), but I enjoy this car every time I drive it. New sport shocks, springs, and larger rear sway added.

  • The affordable practical sports car - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

Handling compares favorably with the RX-7 I used to have. Heater is incredibly fast. Get leather with heated seats and you will never touch cloth again. Makes my 80 mile daily commute very pleasant. Some say its small, but I prefer a tighter, sportscar-like cabin. Most Americans like to sit in a cave when they drive, I guess.

  • Move over Mercedes - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

I bought this car to replace a 320 Mercedes wagon. With 50% better gas mileage, more power, a better sound system, and an interior with real leather to boot, Ill never go back to Mercedes! Oh, did I say at half the price? I have read several reviews of this car, and they are off base when discussing the V6 powerplant. This thing rocks on the highway with the 6 speed automatic. Beware however that this car is hard to equip for towing, despite what my dealer promised me.

I really like to drive this car. I have had sports sedans before, but this car takes the cake. The feel of the car on the road is tight and comfortable. The only thing I dont like is the short range gas mileage is quite a surprise. In city traffic the mileage goes down to about 17 mpg.
