This Year's Model Updates:

Coming off a complete redesign just last year, the 2010 Mazda 6 sees little in the way of change. A new optional audio and Bluetooth display debuts, as does a new Touring Plus trim level. Features have also been shuffled among trim levels to lower the vehicle's base price.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, big trunk, muscular performance from V6, smooth automatic transmissions, relatively sporty handling.
Cons:
  • Mediocre fuel economy, some cheap interior materials.

  • one of the best in its class - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Bought the beautiful car a month ago. Cannot say anything about the long term reliability, so it is purely a guess. Nothing breaks yet. Safety is paramount to us. Mazda6 has the best safety rating by NHTSA. This trim line also comes with a nifty blind spot motoring system. Plus a whole host of other safety features, which makes it stand out. Looks great inside and outside. Love the handling quality. In fact, eager to sit behind the wheel in this car! Ride is firm and supple. Wish it can absorb bumps little better though. The engine is a little hesitant when you really need to zoom zoom zoom on a highway entrance ramp.

  • Fun car to drive - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

This is a fun car to drive. It handles well and has a sports-car feel, except its a sedan. The steering wheel blocks the view of the top of the gauges, and theres an annoying sloshing sound (from fuel tank) when stopping and starting when tank is full. The car feels solid and few vehicles can compete with it in styling. In fact, its sleek design makes appear smaller than others in its class, but its actually longer than most.

  • No comfort at all - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Seat cannot be moved all the way back. I am 510" and even then I would need to move the seat at least 5" back to have my legs not too much bended. Ironically, they sell this car as sporty one. Next, I cannot reach the steering wheel when laying back even a little bit. Again, you dont drive any car completely upright like a tractor. Now, when I am upright, the steering wheel covers the view of instrument table. If I want to see the table, I must move the wheel all the way up and that really looks like driving a tractor. Overall, not being able to sit comfortably in this car makes me problems on long trips due to my sensitive back. 24mpg at 65mph without A/C. Thats ridiculous.

  • Best looking car in the parking lot - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

Handles like an expensive sports car. 4cyl has good pep, manual shift is fun. The exterior design is number one with the great paint job. Getting 25 mpg around town with air cond full blast. Should get 400-500 miles a tank full.

  • Only a week old - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I only recently purchased this car and am so far pleased. After driving a diesel for the last 4+ years, even 170 HP feels strong at highway speeds! I wasnt sure about the "Red Mica" at first, but Ive grown to like it. It seems to be quiet at highway speeds and rides smoothly. I have to get used to the "Blind Spot" system. When you pass a car, or a car passes you in the adjoining lane, the yellow indicator light in the mirrors will light up. I wonder if it may cause other drivers to mistake it for a turn indicator & think youre about to change lanes on them. It will also indicate when youre driving next to concrete barriers and guard rails (sometimes).

  • Great Car - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

We were looking at different cars for about 2 months. started with the Camry, Altima, Maxima, Fusion, Malibu, Jetta - and none of these cars were as fun to drive as the Mazda6. Blind spot monitoring works great the Bose sound system is very good, great responsive 4 cylinder ride is smooth but not soft. We tried the car in the snow-wet-dry and it was great,on winter tires. My only complaint is the stock Michelin tires. Ill get the new Yokohama Avid Envigors in the spring. Other than the tires I cant find anything wrong with this car. The brakes are fantastic, the trunk space is more than enough. The interior is a lot nicer and friendlier than any other car in its class. Enjoy the ride!!!

  • Not so Zoom-Zoom - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I got this car yesterday. Car is pretty big but for this size of car an I-4, 170HP is not enough. Im sure this car will be a lot of fun with V6 240+ HP in touring trim. Car is not alot of fun to drive. When you accelerate it, it feels like car is working hard. Interior is good but there is generous use of hard plastic that doesnt suit a 20K car. Exterior is dashing Overall I might not go for an I-4 170HP for this size of car in the future

Bought 2010 i touring Mazda 6 in Jan. 2010 and put 12,500 miles on it. Traded it in Oct. 2010 for another 2010 Mazda 6. Same color, same engine 2.5 4 cyl auto only difference was that I moved up to i touring plus and with added leather seating. Hows that for a 12,000 test drive. Love the car. You think.

  • Very Happy - 2010 Mazda Mazda6

I bought the Mazda 6 after quickly falling out of love with my 2009 Hyundai Tucson. I owned the Tucson for only 9 months (that was long enough). I loved the styling of the Mazda 6 inside and out. I like my model (the Touring Plus) because it has the blind side monitoring and the underside of the door handles light up when you unlock the car at night. The interior is solid and designed nicely. The exterior is sleek and good looking. My only complaint would be the acceleration being somewhat sluggish when starting from a stopped position. If I had to do all over again, I would absolutely buy this car again. I highly recommend it.

  • Not on par with other japanese cars - 2010 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

Nice, agressive looking and responsive. Easy to handle on high speeds. During the first year of combined highway and city use there are major issues that didnt appear on other cars Ive owned (Toyota, Opel, and Chevrolet). Unoccupied passenger seat and front speaker make noise as if I was driving an truck 10 years old. The radiator heat sensor was stuck and the car overheated (covered by warranty). Front disc brakes lasts less than 10,000 miles (its less than 20,000 mi and its the second change). Theres clearly audible noise in the front suspension on irregular roads. Overall, quality is far, far away from that of Japanese and American cars.
