Overview & Reviews
Lincoln's front-wheel-drive luxo-barge gets a bigger grille (just what it needs) and rounded corners. It also gets an interior freshening that replaces the digital clock with an analog timepiece.
- Jaquaresque styling on a full-size American road schooner. Powerful twin-cam V8 engine.
- Poorly sorted suspension. Lousy resale value.

Great Car! - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By Dan - August 3 - 2:43 pmThis has been a great car for the past 5 years. Repairs have been minimal re: Heater core went when we 1st bought it.$600 dollars to fix. Mileage is 130,000. We like the size and comfort. Gas mileage compares to a much smaller and lighter vehicle. We get 22mpg. around town and we have gotten as high as 30mpg highway!

Best ride of my life - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By tncontint - April 9 - 8:50 amThis is the second Lincoln that I have owned. The first was a 78 town car. This Continental is without a doubt one of the best looking cars on the road. It is a very powerful, and fun filled car to drive. I have put nearly 100,000 miles on it since I purchased it. I would take it around the world if they had bridges to do so. I have that much faith in it. I dont foresee me purchasing another vehicle to drive, since they cant compete with this one that is paid for.

Great Car - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By BillJ73 - March 11 - 10:00 amI bought one of these used. Obviously the resale value is low, but I have no idea why. This is a great, comfortable car. Having the V8 under the hood, and the comfort and reliability of a Lincoln at the prices these are going for used is a great deal. You cant go wrong buying this car.

modern classic - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By bill m malachi, jr. - August 4 - 2:00 amthis is a powerfully solid automobile, even-though my ls-400 is much quieter, it is not as much fun to drive,i cannot see an appreciable difference in build quality and i dont understand why the continentals didnt sale more

Comfort without style - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By gplant - July 24 - 8:43 amAbsolutely comfortable car to drive. Fantastic fuel mileage for a big car with a V8 (22 mpg combined)! Not much to look at, but reliable and comfortable. Will do whatever you ask it to. I will get rid of it when it dies. I will probably cry a lot.

Lots Of Car For $$$ - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By BigRJ - June 26 - 3:53 pmThe price that I paid for this car versus what it cost new must be heartbreaking for anyone who purchased them brand new, but for the features and the "amount" of car I got for what I paid are unbelievable!!! Power, looks, and overall comfort are un- matched in the price catagory I paid. May be the nicest vehicle I have ever owned!!! If you are looking for a reliable, feature laden, good looking car, and dont want to spend a fortune, look no further!!!

Best Car Ever! - 1998 Lincoln Continental
By grolle - May 6 - 2:50 amI bought this 1998 Lincoln Continental in 2004 with 98,000 miles on it. Today (9-21-07) it has 227,000 miles on it and still drives as strong as ever! No doubt, the best automobile, hands down I have ever owned. I average around 30,000 miles a year and run my business out of this fantastic car! Great, great drive!
