  • Great and Cheap, but not built like it! - 2005 Kia Sportage

What value! We looked at everything and could not beat the value in this. With 6 airbags, ABS, stablity control, power locks and windows, V6 with auto/manual trans, A/C and CD for 19K. The ride and power are fine. And then you have the warranty with roadside assistance. How could you go wrong? You cant beat this value!

  • Not a "Throw-Away Car" - 2005 Kia Sportage

My wifes sister-in-law told her that Kias were cheap "Throw-Away cars." After 15 months and 30,000 miles this so called "throw-away" car with a 5 year 100,000 power train warranty has put her Ford minivan with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty to shame. Her minivan will be thrown away long before this Sportage.

I have not had any problems with it. I wish it had better gas mileage. I am very happy with it.

  • Love My Kia! - 2005 Kia Sportage

When I was looking for an SUV I was put off by the looks of many of them and defintely their price. I liked th enew look fo the KIA Sportage so I waited for it to come to the dealership near me to se it for myself and test drive it! I was so impressed I bought it! I have had nothing but compliments from strangers at the gas station even! They like the style and want to know what make SUV it is! It had every option I wanted for an extrememly reasonable price. I love it!

My husband and I just purchased a 2005 Kia Sportage, pre-owned, with 135k miles, due to our limited budget. The Carfax didnt list any maintenance, and the test-drive and subsequent independent pre-purchase inspection confirmed that there were problems. The timing belt system had not been replaced at 100k miles, the battery was original (and died right after purchase), and the A/C was non-functional. We were able to knock off a lot from the price due to all the work that needed to be done (most of it simply maintenance that was put off, not true issues). A/C problem due to climate control module and is being replaced. Hoping we dont regret this purchase.

  • Time to come out of the swamp - 2005 Kia Sportage

Kia should change its swamp buggy style advertising of the new Sportage and promote it for the classy smart vehicle it now is. With its stylish design and great performance it can hold its own with other similar type vehicles that cost thousands of dollars more.

After owning a Jeep Liberty, and test driving the Forester and the Sante Fe, I found the Sportage a real pleaser. Its new sleak design and roomier interior made this a must buy purchase for me. The main selling point for me was that it has all the features of a SUV but drives like a sedan. Ive only had this vehicle less than two weeks but family members and friends and friends were quite impressed with thisd car. KIA has probably the best warranty aroung today. I am hoping I amjust as pleased a year from now as I am today.

Have never owned a foreign car before, but this on caught my eye, saw it in Savanna Ga. Went to a local dealer here at home and drove my new Sportage home, one thing it gets alot of looks, looks great and drives great, not sure on the gas mileage yet.

  • Great Car - 2005 Kia Sportage

Traded in my Chrysler 300C for this SUV because I bought a house and wanted cheaper payments. This car is outstanding. Rides like a car (smooth), decent power and looks great. The fit & finish is excellent, AC is powerful and the radio rocks! I think it looks better than its sister...the Hyundai Tuscon. The only negative is its name...Kia. I really like this car and the pro reviews have been positive. Only time will tell if the reliabilty is there...the warranty is great and I purchased an extended warranty as well. The car has a fair amount of understeer so zipping in and out of traffic at 80 mph when Im late for work is a little nerve wracking. I cant wait for snow.
