All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.

The Liberty Twins - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By RNman - May 24 - 10:00 amIn February 2004 I needed a new commuter vehicle. I purchased a certified used Liberty Renegade in black with all the trimmings. It was on the lot and I stumbled on it. It was the only Liberty on the lot. after a test drive I (and my wife) was convinced that it would be the ideal vehicle to commute as well as be a workhorse on the weekends if I needed it. the problem came when I brought it home and My wife wanted to drive it more than her car (a new 2003 Concorde) I finally gave in, trading in the Concorde for her own 2004 Liberty. we now have two Jeeps and we are very happy with them both.

My First Jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By JeaninesJeep - May 24 - 10:00 amThis was my first new car purchase and my first Jeep. I Love this Jeep. I am a forensic toxicologist and my jobe is 365 days a year. There is no such thing as a snow day for me. My Jeep gets me there and back no problems at all. I will join the rest of the Jeep family and never go back to another type of SUV again. Its very Kid friendly as well. I have 3 of them.The heat in this thing works so good you can cook a meal in it !

It has shown me that not only does it handle well in snow, but in rain, sun, hard ground, and other situations as well. I never have to worry about where Im going or if I break down...its never happened. It feels great to drive and is very easy to handle. The cargo space is every womans dream and the rear door made for easy access to it. The only sown side to the viechle is that when the rear windows are open it causes a loud wind tunnel sound that occ. hurts your ears...but the A/C helps. I have truly enjoyed my experience with it and plan to buy again in the future!

dependable, fun to drive - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By daveh - May 19 - 4:23 amThis is now the 3rd Jeep Ive owned (Wrangler, Cherokee, now Liberty) and I have to say its the best of the bunch. I manage to average 20.5 mpg which isnt great but it isnt all that bad either. I have the full time 4WD option which is very nice, especially in the rain.

I love my Liberty - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Lulu Mac - May 18 - 10:00 amI love my Jeep Liberty. My first car was a sports car and I didnt feel safe in it. Two months to the day after I bought my Jeep I t-boned a girl doing almost 60 mph. I was hardly hurt, and my Jeep held up great! Dont get me wrong, it did over $10000 worth of damage, but had I been in my car, I would NOT have walked away with just cuts and bruises. I still feel EXTREMELY safe in my Jeep. My next vehicle will be ANOTHER Liberty!

By xbomber - April 10 - 2:00 amBe careful when considering the Liberty. The off road suspension design shakes you like crazy on even the smallest bumps. The seats are as stiff as concrete and the shape numbs my lower back and legs. The full economy is aweful. 18 mpg is the best I can do.

By Gus - Pittsburgh - April 5 - 10:00 amJust bought my 2nd Jeep Liberty (2004).This is the first time I have ever bought the same vehicle back to back. First was a 2002 model. I have been extremly impressed with the reliability and quality. After almost 3 years still no squeeks or rattles. If you live in a snow belt area there is simply nothing better to get you through the snow and ice safely. Great stock stereo and excellent visibility. I find the seats to be very confortable and plenty of versitility in hauling items. My neighbor has a Mercedes-Benz SUV which I have driven and I can honestly say I wouldnt trade him even up. Great SUV at a great price!

By maldo - February 27 - 2:00 amI purchase this vehicle in the midle of the german winter, and as luck will have it the day after I picked the vehicle up we have a week long snow storm in the area. I was concerned about getting stuck in the thick snow, as a saw several vehicles do. The 4WD capabilities of me jeep were amazing, I did not have any trouble, sorting through the bad weather. I love the style of the vehicle, it has a rough yet refined look, and it gets complements from other SUV owners everywhere I go.
