  • Best Vehicle ever owned - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
    By -

Bought this Veracruz in Nov. 2007 new, traded in a Lincoln Navigator. This has been by far the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned numerous vehicles. It will be 10 years old on Nov. 8, 2017, currently has 306,152 miles and still runs like brand new, still looks brand new. Only had routine maintenance done up until last year and had to replace the catalytic convertors (2 of the 3) and the rotors. Id did not hesitate to spend the $$$ for repairs. I only wish they still produced this vehicle as I would but another in a New York minute. My goal is to put 500,000 miles on this vehicle before I replace it unless it just totally implodes. Very proud Hyundai Veracruz owner!!!

Purchased a 2008 Hyundai Limited AWD 3 weeks ago. So far I have been very impressed with the build quality and performance of this vehicle. This vehicle is loaded with all the options found in Lexus. The best part is the price. Purchased this vehicle for thousands less than Lexus, and a $4,000 Rebate. Mileage is better than my 2000 Tundra and even though I wish it was better, what can you expect when you purchase a 7 passenger vehicle. Navigation system is manufactured by LG and much easier to use than the Nav system in my Lexus.

  • 2007 vera-cruz - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

We are on our 7th Hyundai and wanted to share our thoughts about. What ever Hyundai products they come out with it will be well built, highly engineered, extremely good quality, and currently own a 2007 vere-cruz with the ultimate package, and a 2007 sonata limited, not only are they beautiful they are very reliable vehicles, and I get 25 mph with our Vera-cruz two wheel drive, and get 28 mph with our v6 sonata. We are very proud of our Hyundais and will be buying the new Genesis sedan next summer, unless they put the v8 in the Vera-cruz. Now that would be something. I surely hope Hyundai at least make this an option. Some people critize a car no matter what. Hyundai rules in our house. Bernard Edwards.

  • Bought with 3ish now at 120,000 going strong - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

Well you wont find one so you can forget about if. But if you do, what a deal! I purchased my Veracruz for something like 19K around 2010. Ive had it for 5 years and put about 90K on it. It has been amazingly good. It was purchased to replace a Murano which I loved but which pretty much imploded at about 100K. It was leaking oil, burning oil and Id sunk too much money into it. I was looking for practical and that is what I got with the Veracruz. It has been as frugal as I am. I dont know why they stopped making it. I bet it cost more to make than it brought in. I also like driving it because it seems to be surrounded by comfort foam. I cant tell if the engine is on or not because it is just that quiet. You can hear road noise while driving but you wont hear the engine. It is also safe. I drive in an area that gets snow from October through May. The vericruz has had no problems with the snow with all weather tires.

  • Love it - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

I have only put 800 plus miles on the car but have to say it has been all and more than I expected. Quite ride loaded with extras good power but a little disapointed in the gas mileage. Only getting about 14 MPG all in town though. Over all best vehicle I have ever owned. This is my 2nd Hyundai and cant say enough about them. $4000 rebate and 1500 owner loyalty when I walked in the door was a big plus also.

  • Fantastic value and solid brand quality - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
    By -

Nevermind the MotorTrend review where it beats the Lexus, or the various quality awards from JD Power, etc. This car is sleek and unbelievably refined and classy inside, and in the GLS FWD trim, an insane bargain at under 25k. The various traction and brake and ESC controls, 5 stars for safety and the tons of airbags make me feel its a great choice for our family. The driving is still sort of truck like, with acceleration and body roll pretty average, and the cabins not as quiet as the reviews say it is, but overall still very impressive. Havent had it long enough to have firsthand experience with its reliability, but Im surprised at the lack of initial issues - none at all.

  • Great Value - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz

My wife and I have been driving this SUV for a month. It is a great value for the amount of items included. We bought the Limited FWD version for $26,000.00. You cant buy a HONDA CRV for this amount with a 4 cylinder. Only one problem so far, the seat memory switch had to be changed. Dealer is great to work with. The Infinity stereo is OK not great, but overall still very pleased with the quality of the vehicle. Third row seating is great. Gas mileage so far is about 18 MPG (city driving) not to bad considering. Love the safety features. Honda, Lexus/Toyota can learn something from Hyundai. The are overpriced and over rated.

  • EXCELLENT CROSSOVER - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
    By -

We love this car. We debated a lot on which crossover to purchase, and finally decided that the VC was the best deal. We couldnt get any other car with all the features we wanted for this price. The dealership even added the Parrot bluetooth system, which is really convenient. Fuel economy is probably its greatest weakness, averaging about 20mpg, but still is comparable to its competitors. Other cool features, the rear view mirrors tilt down when youre in reverse so you can see how close you are to the curb (can turn this feature off as well). Seats are pretty comfy, even the third row where weve had a few adult passengers have a comfortable ride. We love the power liftgate.

  • Happy with Hyundia - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
    By -

Our first Hyundai. Impressed with fit and finish, ride and driving. Car drives very smooth for its truck listing. Very good on comfort, my wife is 5 foot and I am 61". Fits us both. Appearance wise we are very pleased with the Beige exterior and saddle leather interior. We were impressed with the way Hyundai backs there product.
