I traded in my Santa Fe for this because Hyundai gave me the highest trade in value. The exterior was so so. The interior was great. Soft touch material. Good looking leather. It drove quiet. Infinity radio is not that impressive but ok. However, within a month, the leather starts to fade. It starts to pick up road noise. Some rattle starts to show up here and there. Most serious problem was the transmission. I heard a lot of good things about the Aisian transmission. However, my transmission has problem shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, rumbling a lot. It went back to the dealership. They told me that there was nothing wrong. They also broke their promise about loaner car. Regret

Ive had the Veracruz for five weeks. I got it for $10k under sticker and boy, is it great. Build is great, road noise is minimal and it performs really well. My only complaint is the sound system could be a little better. I recommend the Veracruz highly.

This is my first Hyundai and I am impressed. I had two Navigators before this and it is so nice to downsize. I have about 2750 miles on the car so far and I am getting 18.7 mpg. I am on the highway and in the city equally. The ride is very smooth and quiet. I love the navigation system. I was going to buy the Lexus 400h, but I saw a review on this car and took it for a test drive. I was sold and very happy to save over $10,000! I would recommend this vehicle. I am very satisfied.

What a disappointing piece of junk. If you buy Hyundai, you best buy two as one will always be in the shop. I made lemonade with mine!

I bought a 2008 Veracruz Limited FWD in August after thoroughly researching mid- size SUVs. When I test drove the Veracruz, it totally impressed me. It is smooth, quite, luxurous, well designed, high quality, etc. The engine and transmission are wonderful. The gas mileage is great for a mid-size SUV - I get 23 mpg with highway driving. I have driven 5000 miles so far and have not had a single problem. I never owned a Hyundai before but I HIGHLY recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a great mid-size SUV.

Test drove Acura, Honda, Mazda and Toyota CUVs and settled on Veracruz because of overall value and build quality. Car is very quiet and an absolute joy to drive. I really like the proximity key and power liftgate. Limited, AWD, Silver with Black Interior.

My wife and I shopped for her new SUV for six weeks. We thought we had settled on a new Highlander until a friend told us about their experience with Hyundai. We stopped at the hyundai dealer at 6pm and left at 8:30 in her new Veracruz! What a great vehicle! It looks great has every option under the sun and drives smoothly and quietly. The first thing I noticed was the fit and finish (both inside and out). The next thing that caught my eye was the incredible amount of standard options. The salesman then told me about the unbeatable warranty and we both felt like we had found our new car (and we hadnt even driven it yet!). Bottom line - great experience, great vehicle, great price!

I have the 2008 base model. I am very impressed by how good the car is, both in performance, comfort and design. It is very competitive with the 2005 Honda Pilot I also have. In exterior design and ride it is even better. My only peeve is the audio quality, which lacks resolution and "life" compared to may other OEM systems.

  • Love My VeraCruz - 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
    By -

When we bought the VeraCruz we had looked at probably 15 different SUVs and the VeraCruz was the best for you money. I was very very surprised how much power the car has, It can get up and go. Love the 10 Speaker infinity Sound system with Cd changer, Nice looking wheels. I drive this SUV alot on the Highway and get about 23-24 MPG. I love the turn signals on the mirrors. Also love that the dash lights up blue. I used to be in love with my Explorer but we I got this i fell in love all over again and my 03 Explorer just sits.
