Good Value - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon
By egg - February 20 - 10:00 amI bought mine about 4 months ago and cant say that Im disappointed. Yes, it could use more ponies, and some of the interior trim is cheap, but for the money it is an outstanding value. Exceptionally fun to drive, good gas, great service at the dealership. Nothing else in the price class is even close. Warranty outstanding. Get the leather and rims, its worth it.

Hyundai missed the mark with this model - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon
By Tony - February 16 - 8:43 amI had owned a Sonata prior to picking out a brand new Tiburon GT in March of 2007. At just under 19K miles the clutch and flywheel went out on me. Hyundai would not cover this under warranty and dismissed the transmission failure as though I did not know how to drive a manual transmission. The wheel bearings went out on 3 separate occasions as well. The V6 is thirsty resulting in low MPG. Horrible under-steer. Some tricky blind spots until you get use to it. Hyundais also have crummy resale value. Overall the car is fun to drive, however I highly encourage an extended warranty.

Fun, Fun, Fun - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Corrinne T - February 8 - 10:00 amI just got my new Tiburon this week and I love it! Its fun, sporty, and drives great in the rain!!! I cant wait to drive it when the roads are dry. I bought the car because of its sleek exterior design and comfortable interior. The infiniti system is absolutely perfect for jamming to great tunes. The only thing I wish it has is a bit more hp but it does the trick. Having the 6-speed really helps. Its definitely a head-turner and has really wowwed my friends and family.

Kick A** car! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Boston Babs - February 8 - 10:00 amFabulous car! Great feeling driving it. Pick up, from stop position is excellent. Standard features are above average. Its usually in automatic, but can go into manual transmission if I want to play some road games with some of the big boys! Stereo is fantastic. The ONE BIG THING I MISS IS..... Hyundai doesnt make rain guards for the windows. I get soaked if the window is open a bit in the rain. Otherwise,I really love everything about this car. Great styling Hyundai!

1.8lt 1999-2000 coupe - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon
By nick147 - February 5 - 7:13 pmlove the car, I brought it two months ago from Melbourne (2014) it only has 150,000kms on the clock. I had to fix the passenger window which cost me nothing, just some time as well as a cracked manifold which we ordered a new one for $150 and some time to fix the windshield wiper switch (stalk), the car came with a new windshield and battery but will need a/c re gassing ($200) it is super comfy and I highly recommend getting one P.S I got it for $1,600AUD

Best buy of my life - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Spiritdragon87 - January 31 - 7:23 amIve owned this car for awhile now, and I must say, this is probably the best vehicle ive purchased to date. Its reliability is stupendous, and the car is most fun when you find yourself on a twisty road and youve got the 6- speed manual to play with. I have to say my only complaint is the clutch, but a few bucks will take care of that problem. All in all, this is my new favorite car.

Wide grins for me and wifey - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By weeeeeeee! - January 27 - 10:00 amThe wife and I bought a 6-cyl, 5-spd Tibby and we just love it! Its got plenty of power for around town. I mean, lets face facts...where do everyday joes get to use 250 or 300hp anyway? The 170ish hp that comes outta the box is sensible yet still fun. Gotta go with the 17in wheels though. They look kewler and help to stiffen the ride a bit. Otherwise, the car is keen on standard features and the exterior is better than the RSX and not as goofy as the celica. For the money, I feel the Tib fills a niche between bland status symbols (RSX), overpiced and under powered cliches (Eclipse), and over done sillycars (celica).

Very good for the money - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By darandell - January 26 - 12:16 pmEveryone who has had a complaint seems to have the manual tranny. While admittedly the automatic is not super powerful, it is a 2.0L 4cyl so what did you expect...? Brake pads changed at 125,000km and 200,000. Rortors replaced at 200,000 (could have machined, but chose to replace. Small things like wiper motor and washer fluid pump went, but $30 on eBay and some elbow grease fixed it up well. At 220,000kms now and I need some suspension work, but even with not so frequent oil changes (every 9,000 or so kms) the thing is a beauty. Original battery just went at 220,000. Fantastic vehicle for the money I paid for it. Way hotter than the Genesis.
