tran constantly slips car cant change gears and very poor gas mileage

  • Solid through and through - 2007 Hyundai Tiburon

I went into the dealership to buy a base model GS and after driving the SE (due to the fact the color I wanted in the GS was no where to be found) there was no turning back. The car drives solid as a rock. The 6 spd trans. is very precise and easy to drive. The duel exhaust sounds "throaty"! The car is very sound and well constructed...just close the door and see how solid it sounds..it sounds like the door closing on my girl friends Lexis 330.

  • awesome - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

What a fun car. Add a fresh air intake for a true 15 hp increase you can feel. No regrets or complaints...

  • Bang for buck - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Overall its a great car, it has its short commings. Decent performance, supportive seats, takes regular gas, looks awesome. Handling is only so-so, big blind spots due to small rear windows, cargo area smallish. But cant beat the price and warranty you get this for. Fun to drive, but eventually it wears off. The handling just isnt there, it needs to lose a few 100 lbs. Better than a Scion tC.

I bought my tiburon about 3 years ago it has yet to let me sit. however the only proublems i have had with the car is the breaks. i had to put a new master cylender new calipers all new break lines and hoses and a new break booster. other than that the car has been good to me it runs great and has 123000k miles on it. however i dont think i would see my sefl buying another one

  • Some Quirky problems - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I loved my Tiburon. Well, aside from a few quirky problems. There are some electrical issues, I have blown many head lights. I also have problems with Oxygen sensors in the exhaust system.I have had to have 4 sensors replaced in the last couple of years. My emergency brake cable broke this year with 61,000 miles on the car. (Its 6 years old)It still looks sharp though. As much as Ive really enjoyed owning this car, the O2 sensor problem is making me consider unloading it now, for fear of another $210 repair bill, now that I am off of warranty.

  • Great Car, Good Choice - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

First off, the guy that posted in here and said they didnt have 17 inch wheels is wrong. The reviewer that reviewed this car (John Pearley Huffman) is equally impaired and extremely biased, and most of the review is opinions. I sold my fully loaded 97 Honda Accord because this car won me over. A good number of my friends own Hondas, and this car has a more sturdy interior than Hondas. The back seats are a bit tight unless you have short friends. Take it for a test drive, its a great car.

  • Is it just my car? - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I just wrote a review on my 2003 Tiburon GT. How bad memories i have with it. Let me just add one more negative comments. I was just on the road. I decided to open up a Sunroof to get some fresh air. well, sunroof stop operating in halfway open. It wont close, so I proceed with manual close. it happens that manual close doesnt work either... what kind of car is this? i am so mad at Hyundai. My 2 years of having Tiburon, now i have to add another trip to dearlership for service. My biggest wrong choice i have made my entire 27 years of life is buying HYUNDAI CAR.

  • Very Reliable - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon

At 3 years this car has proven to be extremely reliable with excellent fuel economy. With 2 years of bumper to bumper coverage and roadside assistance, and 7 years of powertrain coverage left I feel I made an excellent choice.
