I bought this sports car because: 1) cheapest, good looking sports car 2) allowed for lots of leg room for growing young boys 3) hatchback has been awesome with room! ,6) had the most FREE options - a lot of them 7) had the best and longest warranty 8) has only needed regular maintenance upkeep so far (tuneup - once every 7 years - im bad) oil changes about every 3-4 miles - 100k miles now

You get everything you could possibly need for 20.5K + TT&L! The looks are undeniably awesome (from the sleek "borrowed" lines to the dual exhaust rear-shot), the power is there (come on, 2.7L V6 @ 180+hp is plenty), the equipment is far from sufficient (the next possible add-on would be DVD-navigation or some junk like that) and the warranty is great for peace of mind. I havent had any problems with mine yet and I dont foresee any ... sure, the reliability is not proven but thats why we have 48-month leases for! I also have a $38K 01 Olds Aurora and I have to admit its hard to pick a favorite. The Tiburons suspension is a tad rough, but hey, isnt that the whole point?

Ever since the Tib went on sale in 1997, i wanted this car. It looked like nothing i had ever seen, and for a cheap amount. my grandfather bought me a used blue 2001 tib with 10,400 miles. ive now had it for 8 months and has been so much fun. i prob wash it atleast once a week. sufficient amount of pick up for an economy car and is fun to shift. already have put a magnaflow exhaust and an AEM cold air intake on it. lots more performance for $500 worth of mods. its worth it. overall, great first car for a 16 yr old!

Tiburon handles very well on curves and turns. The backseat is roomy that my 10 year old son and my 3 year old daughter comfortably fit. In fact, my kids always prefer to ride in my Tiburon rather than my wifes 4 door midsize sedan, no matter how far the destination is. Very aggressive looking yet undeniably attractive, especially if you throw some nice wheels on the vehicle. Not to mention owning the Tiburon with a very low cost of ownership, because of the great warranty.

Great car! The exterior styling is what let me to purchase the Tiburon. The price was well below comparable sports cars. My MPG is slightly better than I was expecting based on the published MPG. On the low end I have never got fewer than 24, and the highest has been 29. I now have driven it to 23,000 miles with no mechanical problems. A little wear spot on the leather seat bolster. The 6th gear, ratio, could be a little higher it "tacks" about 900rpms higher that my old 5sp Mits. Eclipse at 60MPH. It could do better on fuel consumption if the 1-6th gear ratios were different, especially 6th. There is noticeable acceleration steer. The accelerator pedal and brake pedal are to close together.

I recently bought me a Tiburon and I love to drive this baby. Besides the car being heavy for a sports car, I love to fix up the car. Its fun to drive, fun to work on, good looking, and its a must buy car for everybody who dont know much about Hyundai Tiburon!!!

I was looking at the Acura RSX and Toyota Celica GT but got way more car for the money with the Tiburon GT V6! It comes with everything I wanted so the only option I paid for was the Shiftronic autotrans. Ill never go back to a regular manual trans. The 360 watt Infinity sound system has enought bass to feel it in your bones but is clear sounding low and even loud! The recarro style seats are great in the turns and also comfy on long drives. The styling gets alot of looks, it only has a logo not the "Hyundai" name anywhere on it alot of people will ask "What kind of car is that?"

I knew when I first sat in a Tib at the autoshow that Hyundai had turned themselves around. I went with a friend a couple of months later for a test drive on a whim, more for fun than to purchase. We were both blown away. Fit and finish are great, quality of materials is above what the price would suggest. I ended up purchase my Tib in Nov 03. I cant tell you how many compliments i have gotten, and how many times ive been forced to open the door to let people get a look inside. Everyone that has gone anywhere with me has just ranted and raved about the car. If im feeling cranky I slip the trans into manual mode and drive some fun.
