  • Not What I thought it would be - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

Purchased new in 2004 wasnt bad for the first three years, then the engine went, now the air bag light is on it gives itself gas and the engine cuts out while driving down the road,I think a car should run better then this, I take care of my care and feel that these are big problems. Also the bulbs for the headlights dont seem to last long.

The car drives wonderfully, its quick and fun, very responsive. The seats are comfortable, the sound system is the best Ive had in any car Ive owned. I highly recommend it! With the standard warranty, you cant go wrong.

  • This is the one! - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon

After going through car after car after car buying beaters I bit the bullet and finally bought something nice. My boyfriend who has owned a Tiburon already looked it over and gave it a good word. Ive had it now about a week and so far I love pretty much everything about it, whoever had it before me put after market exhaust on it so it sounds like a completely different car. I did notice that my tires are quite worn and I will have to replace them in about 2 to 3 monthes. The passenger side window motor has either been disconnected or no longer works, Im taking it up to a dealership tomorrow to have that looked at.

  • Still makes me smile! - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

I am the second owner of my Tib, and it has been a pretty decent car in all respects. The V6 is still sharp after all of these years and Ive been able to keep the car in good shape with relative little expense. With good attention to vehicle care, the factory leather and interior still look outstanding. Reliability is worth considering if you look at a used Tib - sensor quality is low and many are prone to failure. The clutch is also known for premature failure in Tibs - my car is on #3 in 110k. Modification of the clutch slave delay valve can improve clutch performance. In spite of all of that, I find the car relatively easy to work on and fun to own! Great value overall!

  • Just bought one....boy am I glad! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Bought a rebuilt salvage GT V6 with 15,000 miles for super cheap, and it runs like a dream. AEM cold air intake and Moog oversized fuel injectors (Borla cat-back exhaust coming soon) have allowed me to beat a 5.0 Mustang at a stoplight. Needless to say he rolled his window down and said, "Wow, what the heck kinda car is that?" I have the car badged with Tuscani logos, so he didnt know what it was. I get so many looks from this thing that I almost get cocky about it. Its as if Im driving a much more expensive car. Thank you, Korea!

  • DONT DO IT!! - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

Theres no denying that this car is one of the most beautiful in its class. However, I was unfortunate enough to ignore the warnings and went with this car. The paint is trash. Look at it wrong and it chips. About 4 months ago I started having problems with the car starting which is a CLASSIC HYUNDAI PROBLEM. Its all over the internet, have a look!!! At stop signs the a/c, radio, and lights will go off until you start driving again and it never quite starts right away (if it starts at all). The seats are hard that the moonroof has been repaired THREE times already. I have heard that there are defective parts in the brain that no one admits to.

  • fun to drive tib - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Fun to drive, I live in Hawaii and we have a lot of mountain roads. I drive from sea level to about 2700 ft elevation daily, get about 30 mpg so far." just bought a little over a month ago. Great on corners, smooth ride and has comfortable interior, use to have an elantra but I am enjoying new ride. I test drove a tib when I got elantra a few years back but went with mpg, now the sporty ride. Like the new design of body and head lights.

This is my second Hyundai. My first car was a 1995 Accent and I totaled it in an accident. I wanted another two door and initially went to test drive an eclipse. The dealer wanted me to test drive this car and I fell in love. The ride is so smooth, it handles so well except in rain or snow when driving around curves you have to really slow down or youll hydroplane and swerve a lot. I get a lot of compliments on this car and most people dont believe its a Hyundai. It runs so well. Ive had a few probs like needing a new starter after I rear ended someone, and new transmission wires bc they were loose, but the dealer was great!

Issues with black paint vs. bugs. I have had black cars in the past and they did not have the issues with the bug "stains" on the car.

  • I love my Tiburon SE V6 hatchback 2DR - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon

I personally love the car not just for its looks but for its potential if you put just about 5 grand under the hood. the car would be insane on power and speed. needs better rear anti roll bars and better brakes too. if you take a look online youll find plenty of parts for it. i plan on getting my v6 up to 520 horspower with a hella turbo haha new cams and a bunch of other performance parts. just dont look at her like a piece of crap look at her for wat she could be
