never would have given Hyundai a second thought but the interior was great looking and compared to a Celica, it was like 5 grand cheaper and w/ a few more options. Warranty is the best and this car is super reliable. Common problems are headlight bulbs and wheel bearings which are covered in warranty. car is so customizable w/ aftermarket parts and I got SO many compliments from what I did to it. I made people w/ cars that cost so much more look like nothing. I am so pleased with Hyundai and their service and if they came out with a "real sports car" Id for surely buy it. I crashed my tib and truely miss it as do many people. Its truly one of a kind.

Ive had my Tiburon for one month so far and absolutely love it! Looks awesome, great early acceleration, and the Infinity system is phenomenal! (If youre getting a GT, spend the extra $$$ and get the Sun and Sound Package, well worth it!)

I love this car, as I loved its predecessors. However, like my 2001 Elantra GT, the information from the onboard computer is virtually illegible during daytime operation. Its fine at night. It does help if I remove my polarized transitional glasses, but my basic feeling is that should not be necessary. My only other suggestion would be to add an exterior release to the hatch as on most hatchbacks. This year, HYUNDAI eliminated the wiper/washer for the rear window , an aesthetic improvement with minimal reduction in functionality. Perhaps the savings could have been used to add an exterior manual release for the hatch!

Well Ive had this car for 2 1/2 years now. It is still going good. Lots of rattles and problems with dealerships in Canada. Ive had a few problems with cracked door panels bad spark plugs and o2 sensors. But I havent had much mechanical problems. Squeaks and rattles a plenty, actually the car has squeaked from the second I drove it off the lot. It doesnt seem to like the cold of Canada though, the engine idles really rough, the brakes bong and clank and there is lots of squeak in the clutch in the cold. Eveything goes away in the summer months though. I wouldnt buy another one even after the mechanical stability as I find the fit and finish to be sub par.

own a 05 Hyundai Tiburon GT Ultimate Sports Package with sunroof and Infinity Sound system. When bought, had 13000 miles, now 40,000 love the pick-up and the mild roar through the muffler. looks are stunning, everyone who see my car for the first time love it! comfort for the driver and passenger is good, not for the people sitting in the back since not enough space for big and tall people. Id call it a two-seater. Ample trunk space, better if back seats are put down. still suspension makes you feel all the potholes only problem Ive had so far is the car pulling towards the right because of alignment issues. Also, when I jumped my car battery last winter, the sound system got damaged.

  • The hottest car you can get for 19k - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon

I got sick of making repairs for my last vehicle, so I bit the bullit and bought new. Im glad I did. The Tiburon caught me by surprise with quality and style for the money (not to mention warrantee). Ive only had the car for a week, but it has a very comfortable ride, a hot looking interior with red stitched leather wheel and seats, and a great stereo. The 5 speed shifts nicely and the clutch is pretty forgiving. Since its a hatchback there is a ton of room for storage for a pretty small car, another big positive. The only things I could wish for are a standard 6 speed manual, a couple more horses under the hood or better gas mileage from the 2.7l v6 (rated at 19/26)

Ok little car. It will be the last hyundai i buy. Problems with it. every 60,000 you must replace the altenator. It causes powersurges and blows headlights. ive had three wheel bearings go out. I baby my car and have nothing but problems. it over heats even though i have changed my radiator, thermostat and water pump, and i change my fluid every year. It rattles like crazy.. Dont get one. i do have 160,00 on it

The Tiberon is a real pleasure to drive. It makes me feel like Im on the Indy 500 track. Its acceleration is great and corners like a go-cart. Its breaking distance is excellent. I am 68 years old and when Im driving my Tiberon, I feel Like Im 16, and behind the wheel of my dream car, the corvette. I have not checked out the top speed but Im sure it will do all I need on the highway. When I drive my Tiberon, heads turn. Many people have walked up to me in the car and asked what kind of cat is that? Its a beauty. I Love my Tiberon.

I have not once had repairs done to this car in the 7 years I own it. I still even have the original battery. I only replaced tires, but do get an oil change every 3,000 miles. It is the greatest little car I ever had.
