  • A Big Improvement - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I drove both a V6 6-speed and a 2.0 5-speed. The cyl GT is a better value, but the 2.0 is better looking. The high spoiler on the GT coupe ruins the appearance of the car, and I would not buy one with it. The saleman actually offered to have it taken off! The base car is the best looking of the lot, but the low spoiler on the 5-speed V-6 GT base model is tolerable. I have to admit that I was tempted by the good looks of the Tiburon, but the interior is not up to the exterior, and in the end I opted for a Mercedes C230 Sport Coupe. If they had a Sprint model V-6 with the low spoiler, I might just have taken it.

  • Its about time - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Ever since I rode in a friends turbo charged Mitsubishi Eclipse back in the late 80s, I have wanted something fun to drive. Finally a car has come out for under $20000 that will not make you wish you would have bought something else. Would have been nice if they had a turbo or all wheel drive available but in a few years.. maybe they will. I also think the engine has more horses than they have specified since they took the same net horsepower specs from the Santa Fe.

  • This is my second Tiburon - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon

I purchased a 4 cylinder Tib in 2005, then a 6 cylinder in 2009 (2008 model) The car looks great, but could use a few improvements like a remote trunk release and definitely more power and pick up. The instrument panel could stand to be updated as well. The sound system is great and I love the room in the hatch when the seats are rolled down. I get about 21 MPG, and do mostly fast highway driving. I notice a big difference in gas mileage when the car is driven at lower speeds. Its a comfortable car to drive and its also fun and overall for the price, its hard to beat.

  • Too Much Torque - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

I am a big fan of the Hyundai Line, But it feels like the designers messed up one spot. Torque to the front wheels. When pulling out from a dead stop, there is extreme torque steer. Other than that, I love the ride, look, and performance of the vehicle and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable sports car.

The warranty on my 2003 V-6 Automatic T sold me on buying the 2006 GT V-6 Automatic. Ive never spent a dime on repairs for either T. The sound system is terrific, mpg is reasonable, comfort is as one would expect in a sports car, and I can drive it 300 miles in 4 - 5 hours without ruining my butt or back. I like the exterior and interior design a lot. I am a nitpicker and whiner, but cannot think of a complaint!

I bought this because it was so cute! I now know more about cars than I ever thought I would. This car has had almost everything go wrong. Its not built to put 100 miles on it daily.
