  • Best Kept Secret - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

I decided to give the tiburon a try and I have not been disappointed. After looking at other similiar cars in this class, the value, styling, and handling of the tiburon was hands down the best choice for me. This years styling, both interior and exterior, is what caught my eye. It handles well, its comfortable, and fun to drive. Its not your high performance sports car, but it definitely has the look and feel of one (without the high price tag). Ive lost count of the compliments and the number of people who want to know what Im driving, its like having the best kept secret around.

Ive had this car for about 1 yr now with 10k miles on it. It drives nice, rides good. Doesnt have a lot of power, but the styling, inside and out, more than make up for it. Havent had any major problems with the car, only sunroof wasnt working properly, but dealer took care of it at no charge.

First, I gave the performance a 5 because a stock GS can hardly get out of its own way but for less than a GT costs you can upgrade performance parts that will not void the warranty and make it faster than a GT or SE. With that said. The car is way under priced! Exterior design is somewhat exotic and the interior, even after a year, is still not boring. Since owning the car Ive had to replace my interior carpet because a hole wore in just below the gas pedal. That can be blamed on the dealer because they never gave me floor mats. Overall this is an awesome car but if you can afford it go with the GT or SE.

So far I really enjoyed the car. I have so many people ask me what kind of car and that it is nice sporty car. Back seat space is very limited especially if you are tall.

  • A love/hate relationship... with my car! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

A very fun car to drive... When it isnt in the shop! Purchased from the dealership with 56k miles on it, one owner, and had problems since I got it! Passengers side strut was busted when I bought it, around $650 to get it fixed. Ran good for a while.. I bumped into a curb and broke the strut again, also set the drivers side airbag off when I hit the curb... Was only going around 15 MPH. Engine had began to make a strange clicking noise when a few weeks later my transmission defaulted to third gear. Transmission fluid and antifreeze began leaking into each other, paint started flaking off spoiler and passengers side mirror, stereo display went out, moonroof rattles very bad when opened.

Bought 03 Rally Red Shark 7-19-03 w/4- cyl. A/T and body- color spoiler due to performance of the engine in a Carbon Blue 03 Elantra GT hatchback I got in March 03. Put 4500 mi. on fam-owned 02 Santa Fe,20k mi. on 99 Sonata,2500 mi. on GT. Have replaced a h.Light bulb in these combined 27k mi. while owning Hyundai products...I was a lost soul, a car guy with a Elantra GT I adore but this 9-3 clone no Sophia Loren. Then ,I saw her...There is substance beneath the beauty of this head-turning,crowd- pleasing,conversation-starting triumph.Bravo,HYUNDAI...

I am very pleased at the class this car has for the price, not to mention the looks it gets from other people, its a real eye catching automobile. Also the warranty that it has, the whole time my car is financed, its under warranty, now thats a deal. I have the GTV6 and this little care will move on down the road, and is fun to drive and is sporty as hell.

  • A great car! - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon

I bought this car partly because of the excellent 10 yr/100,000 mile warranty, because the reviews were saying Hyundai had solved quality issues, and the price was right! The main issue for me from day one has been rear visibility, and a problem with the headlights burning out periodically (a minor problem, and replacement was free of course). In sum, I love this car, and am very, very likely to return to Hyundai for my next car! This car new, & loaded, was $14,000! I occasionally research the market for new cars and based on value, quality, and features, repeatedly find Hyundai is best!

  • Tiburon is great! - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

Originally, the Tiburon was selected and purchased by my 20 year old son. He liked the car very much, but he got excited in buying a high performance 4WD truck, so instead trading in the Tiburon, I decided to keep it. Now, I am enjoying driving the Tiburon every day. It feels and performs great. I am 60 years old, but I feel young again driving the Tiburon. Just before, I was driving a Dodge1500 Van Conversion, which is nice, but definitely too big for one person. Tiburon is nice looking and a very fast car. I am very happy that I took the decision to keep the Tiburon for my self.

Hello, I own a 2003 Tiburon GT V6.I am the son of a retired big-time car dealer. I am 27 years old, married both my wife and I work. I have been a mechanic since I was 16 in my fathers shops. When I was looking for an inexpensive sports car the Tiburon was my choice for a few reasons. Try to find another V6 with leather, premium sound, and a hellacious warranty for around $20k. This car is the best car I have ever owned for the money. I also drive a 2003 GMC Yukon.
