  • Impressive - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Lets not go overboard here and rate this car a 10, anyone who does has no idea how to even spell the word "car". I should probably state that I havent bought this car or even seen it in person, but I know a lot about cars in general. Here we go. Hyundai has improved this car greatly, straying from their previous design (horrible if you ask me) and going more for a cleaner shape. They packed this car with power and went all out on options too, a nice bonus. Unfortunately it is a Hyundai and they do not have quality quite down yet. Re-sale is also going to be disapointing.

  • Wow, What a suprise to drive - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Fact: I was not looking for this type of car when I decided, what the heck: drive one. That was it for me. The Auto Shiftronic trans, the comfortable leather seats, the sunroof, the handling, the POWER & Smoooooothness of the V6, & the EXCELLENT Infiniti speakered sound system. Wow. This car is a blast to drive. The most fun car I have had since my 1977 Spitfire , but OH so much better.

  • car rocks, still too new to be sure - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Have not bought the car yet but I have had it for a couple of days and so far it is suprisingly impressive. Styling is sexy other than a very trendy front end look. Interior continues to impress with its ergonomics and comfort. Engine and tranny are coupled together quite well...gearing is near perfect to match the peaky torque character of engine. I am very skeptical of a Korean car after years of Euro and Japanese ownership but the initial feel blows me away. Warranty huge selling point...it better be because whoever buys one will have to keep it until it is paid off because of lackluster resale value.

  • I love my tiburon - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon

I love my tiburon and i am the third owner of what i know of and yes it has had its problems but what i do know of that the car was beat when it was first bought so the transmission went out at 122k miles and a bunch of other stuff now that those are problems are fixed it runs just like it is new besides that it needs a few things but overall i do love this car but i do wish it had more power that thats ok

  • Great first car! - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon

Wonderfully fun yet underpowered and numb. Radiator went out after 5 years.

This car is definately fun to drive. The 6speed manual is a lot of fun, but the clutch is lousy. The first one was worn out at 24000 miles. (Not under warranty and cost $1900.00 to replace. The 2nd clutch went due to the throw-out bearing breaking (67k) again $1900.00. The Michelon Pilots that come with the car are for summer only, useless in the winter. If you want performance, handling, low road noise and great trad-life, try the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions. They are unbelieveable. The Continental Conti-Extreme Contacts do last and handle well, but do have a lot of road noise.

  • OK CAR - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon

I have read some of the other reviews and I agree with some of them. The Tib is not a very sound car, I mean you can hear alot of outside noise when you have two people in the car you have to turn up the radio to hear it at all over the outside noise and normal conversation. I have also had tires replaced and they sell for $200 each. I am now on my third set of headlights and taillights. The paint is less than desired. I had bird droppings on the car and in less than a day it took off the clear coat. The car co. wanted to charge me $2000 to paint. I dont know if I would buy another one especially from this Dealership. Service people are not very nice and it takes 3 hr to change oil.

  • fun, unreliable and costly - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

If you are going to buy a Tib stay away from the standard shift or you will regret it. My car has had to go in four times since I bought it. Twice for the clutch, once for a flywheel, and once for a snapped cable. The clutch will cost over a $1000 off warranty. Ive been told privately by at least two different Hyndai mechanics that they are always replacing the clutches which are crap. The car is red, but it should be lemon yellow.

  • high style for less cost - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Its been the best choice I had made when shopping for a bargain price sports coupe. I am especially amazed by the design of the car that gets the looks from passerby and asking if its an european sports car that they are looking at. Great Job to the Designers.

  • Great value-for-money - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I have owned this car for nearly a year now, and I am more and more thrilled with it each day. Aside from a few production problems (I had one of the earliest ones released) I have had no trouble with it. The only real drawback to this vehicle (which I discovered recently) is the cost of parts. I was involved in a hit and run, and the damage is only cosmetic but to the tune of $2000. Whatever you do, protect your headlights at all costs. The housing alone is over $300. But a great car, especially in the summer. Open her up, throw a disc in, crank down the windows, and experience exactly the reason you didnt need to buy an eclipse.
