By mikeyb72 - December 31 - 8:53 pmThis is a great car. much improved over the years. Great handling. The new styling is so nice; I much prefer the new grill and air dam. The car is pretty quick and loves to go fast!

transmission issues - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon
By jenni - December 16 - 4:16 pmI bought my 2006 Tiburon in November 2005 and I have loved my car, I have never had problems with it. Then my clutch started making a rattling noise that was so loud that the passengers could hear it. Once the clutch was pushed in, the noise would stop. I took it in and they told me that my entire transmission would have to be replaced. Thankfully it is covered by the 100k powertrain warranty. I did buy a K&N air filter for it, and thankfully I didnt put it in or they probably would have said that it voids the warranty. How stupid. Im not sure how many other people have had problems with their transmissions. This is obviously a defect.

Turns a lot of heads - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By Laura - November 25 - 5:23 pmI loved it ever since I layed eyes on it. Mine is the Yellow S/E with the automatic trany. Its quick, but you really feel the power when you use the "sports shift." Its been hell though with the car, constantly taking it back to the dealer because of check engine light coming on after a month of owning it, (I bought it with 48 miles on it). It was just a silly emissions problem. Now today apx. four months later its going back because the air bag light came on. Its silly problems that make the lights come on. Nothing major. I definitely would not bad mouth the car in any way. And its pretty sad when you beat a Honda Civic that had all sorts of mods with your STOCK AUTOMATIC :)

Awesome for the bucks - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Steve R. - November 21 - 2:00 amJust test drove yesterday and buying today. Cant believe how much car for the money. Its no Corvette but great fun to drive and the styling is superb. Japan better look over their shoulder because Korea is hot on their heels and at an affordable price.

Great Car, Lacking Clutch - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
By Doug - November 12 - 7:03 amI just recently purchased my 2008 GS and I am very impressed with its appearances, and the smooth shifting 5 speed manual transmission. However, I have driven many manual cars, a Mustang Cobra, Jeep Wrangler, Camaro Z28, Honda Civic, and an Eclipse GSX; I have NEVER driven a car with such a weak clutch. The clutch seems to ruin the good fun of the car for me, however when it goes bad I plan on upgrading to a stage 1 Clutch Master FX100, and there shouldnt be a problem with it. Overall, the Tib is a great car, and has a lot of potential. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sporty car within the 16-20k price range.

Grins and complaints - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon
By Masked - October 5 - 10:00 amIve had minor problems as soon as I drove it off the lot. Auto-down on the p/w didnt work, Stereo is messed up, and the power locks stopped working. All have been fixed VERY quickly and Ive been very impressed with the dealer. Driving it has been fun and it corners well, but when I have a group of friends in the car to say the power is gone is an understatement. I also find the seats to be extremely uncomfortable, and Im only 6 feet tall. Interior is nice otherwise. Watching heads turn as I drive by cars on the interstate is also a hobby of mine now.

Owner - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon
By my tibby - September 26 - 10:00 amLove this car however multiple problems continue to arise and costly at that. Of course from what Im hearing clutch problems are very common with these cars, Im a single mom who cant afford all theses costly problems.
