  • Surprised - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

The lease was up on rag top 2000 Mustang GT. The wife spotted a Tiburon one Saturday at the car wash and liked the way it looked. We went to the Hyundai dealership and drove an automatic GT. I didnt rumble like the Mustang but it didnt rattle like the Mustang either. The Tiburon V6 was quick even with the auto and had a mellow exhaust that snarls a bit when pushed. The car held the road well with some understeer when thrown into a corner. Back at the dealership the wife learned about the SE model. Only option, sun roof. The Tiburon SE with the six speed manual transmission is even more impressive than the GT. This is a quick car, fun to drive, well appointed and inexpensive.

  • Excellent Purchase! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I purchased my Tiburon new and with the exception of one factory recall for a seat belt issue, I have had no problems. I have a five-speed 6 cyl, and get great fuel mileage, both in city and long distance driving. I have the required maintenance done and with 45,155 miles on this baby I have only one complaint. The low profile tires require replacing every two years or so. This is not Hyundais fault, its the tire manufacture that need to be more responsible in making a better "low" profile tire. The AC, clutch, transmission, etc., has never given me any problems, and Ive traveled back and forth to Canada several times with no problems or complaints. Great vehicle!

  • Very Good Car - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

This is just the most enjoyable car! Though, I believe its under powered for its weight. But, aftermarket mods can take the Tib to a whole new level. Ive had no problems with mine. Its just a dream to drive. The sound system is great, the leather is comfortable and that huge sunroof doesnt get any better in the afternoon driving the back roads.

  • Great while it lasted...... - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon

My car was flawless for the first 21,000 miles (2 years). The problem was initially diagnosed as "collapsed engine lifters" but after this repair failed to correct the issue a new engine "short block" was installed. After another 1,750 miles the "new" engine short block proved to be "defective". During the 5 weeks the dealership had the car to install the 2nd short block we gave up and bought a Nissan. Very disappointing.

  • Paint problem - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I have had my Tib for 6 months now and I love the design. Its a beautiful car but I am really disappointed with the paint quality. The metal console has a chip in the paint and I never even use it. They should have used a different material in that area. Also I have several paint chips on the exterior I guess from rocks or something but I have never had a car chip so easily!

  • Awesome little coupe - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I have had this car for over a month and even though thats not a long time I cant help myself but write a review. The car is pretty quick, not fast but quick for a daily driver. I like the interior design also over something like the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Chevy Colbalt. It looks unbelievable at night too. All in all its a great car but the engine should be able to put out more power stock. Nothing a little aftermarket support cant fix though :).

  • tiburon se - too good to be true - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

i previously owned a 1973 saab sonnett III, which was a limited production sports car. the saab pales in comparison to the tiburon which is both sporty and practical at the same time. the handling is terrific and the comfort of riding in the vehicle is impressive. the most often heard comment i receive is: "is this really a hyundai?" based on the stigma still partially attached to hyundai automobiles, i view this as a huge compliment on my taste in cars.

  • Awesome Deal - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon

When I first laid eyes on the new Tiburon, I had to buy one. I just traded in my SUV for a new GTV6 and I love it...and with all of the standard options...spoiler, Infinity 360 watt stereo w/sub, alloy wheels, its a no- brainer. What a great car for the money!!!

  • Might Be Too Soon To Rate, But... - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I think Im in love. This is my first time buying a new car and/or a stick shift for that matter, but I am really enjoying this vehicle. You will definately get a lotta eye contact from others with the very sleek and unique look of the Tiburon. Im still new to the whole manual driving thing, but in comparison to many cars i have been in this baby can move. I have a best freind who has a 2002 RSX S and he prefers to drive my Tiburon. Im definItely goinG to customize my ride, but as is from the dealership you will definItely love how this car looks, sounds, and performs stock.
