  • Just bought one....boy am I glad! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

Bought a rebuilt salvage GT V6 with 15,000 miles for super cheap, and it runs like a dream. AEM cold air intake and Moog oversized fuel injectors (Borla cat-back exhaust coming soon) have allowed me to beat a 5.0 Mustang at a stoplight. Needless to say he rolled his window down and said, "Wow, what the heck kinda car is that?" I have the car badged with Tuscani logos, so he didnt know what it was. I get so many looks from this thing that I almost get cocky about it. Its as if Im driving a much more expensive car. Thank you, Korea!

This is the best car that I have owned. For the price I dont think I could get leather, power everything and even a foctory subwoofer with any other car.

Lots of great comments from other people telling me how much they love my car! Real attention getter, and great performance for the money!

  • Take a good look, BUT DONT BUY!!!!!!! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I’ve had my tibby for 6200 miles and about 1/2 of those are from trips to the dealer for servicing. Watch for numerous recalls from a car that is full of defects! Spoiler light assembly, driver side window motor, sunroof, paint on door sills, gas cap leakage, window seals, tweeter blown, plastic sub cover in trunk may crack! BEWARE-THIS CAR WILL DISAPPOINT YOU IF YOU DONT KEEP THESE ITEMS IN MIND! I’ve had other problems w/ leather seat flaw @ purchase, plastic doorsill damage and grease on roof after 1 of the servicing. The HORSEPOWER was lied about by 11 horse in their ads.

  • Fun! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I love my Tiburon, its a wonderful car. I get complimented a lot on the looks of it. I have never had so many. My car has been with me for 3 years, and despite a slow start with some recalls and the sunroof recall its been running beautifully. I would recommnend it to anyone who wants a cute, fun sporty car to zip around in!

  • Well it "Looks" really good - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I owned a 94 TransAM, when it came time to lay her to rest i didnt have a lot of money but i didnt want to buy someone elses problems. So i bought a tiburon. It was a very affordable price and the big warranty gave me some piece of mind that it would be reliable...... But now it has 17k miles on it and ive had a new clutch and transmission, ive spent over 5 thousand dollars in repairs from the clutch, 1600 dollars, and then a wreck from the brakes locking on a turn. Overall its a good car but its not made to be driven like a sports car without some major mods.

After owning a Honda and being a die hard Honda fan, I thought I would give this little car a try. I was 5 sec. into the drive test and I knew I was taking it home. I is so much fun to drive! Even after owning for 9 months, the power still surprises me. The body style is so sleek and sports- car-like I have been asked, "Is that a Lexus? A BMW?" I was even got out of a speeding ticket because the cop was so impressed with my car!

  • THIS CAR IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING ON - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR, AND LET ME TELL YOU, I LOVE IT. ITS BEAUTIFUL AND IT JUST FUN TO DRIVE AND STARE. I HAVE THE INTERIOR IN CHROME AND ITS JUST GORGEOUS INSIDE AND OUT. HYUNDAI HAS REALLY IMPROVED AND I BET YOU THAT IF THIS CAR HAD THE NAME HONDA, IT WOULD COST MORE THAN THE PRELUDE.

  • To Many Problems - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Since I have purchased this vehicle brand new two years ago, I have had many problems that are not covered by the warranty. It is on its third clutch and flywheel in only 37,000 miles and the first two were factory. I had a racing clutch and flywheel put in because it was cheaper and better quality than hyundai engineering. Now my starter is out and they are blaming it on my flywheel so they wont cover it by the warranty. I like how the care looks, and drives when it works. I hate how much maintenance i have had to it just to keep it running. IT is not worth it, the car looks nice but unless you want to waste a lot of money dont get the 6 speed version.

  • Awesome car for price - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I paid only $6700 for the car and was well worth it. The 6spd is awesome! Although they should have forgone the metering valve (I took it out) used with the transmission to make it "slip" so that it can be a "friendly" vehicle for everyone to drive along with less slop in the shifter linkage. Should have beefed up the suspension a little bit also to get the tires to stick to the road better and make for a more aggressive feel. Lighter wheels would help too (17" stock are 18 lbs!). With a little bit of money and time it can be built a little to change these "problems". I do love the car though. Very fun to drive and turns heads all the time. Decently powerful v6 and not bad gas mileage for v6
