Best car every - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Keith - February 13 - 10:00 amI brought my car new in 2002. It has 20K miles on it. It has never given me problems. I drove it from coast to coast when I change duty stations. I still drive it to work. It will be my sons car in the spring. He will have fun driving it too. I would not trade it for anything. That is my Tibby.

Love this car but it has too many flaws... - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By wicked_gk - February 10 - 1:55 pmBought my Tiburon GT new in 2004. Day two of purchase my drivers window motor gave out. Warranty coverage the cost. I also had a fuel return hose rupture and fuel was spraying everywhere because Hyundai cheap hoses. Luckily nothing caught on fire and Ive read this is a common issues. The engine is very very sensitive to mods and will cause bad MAF and 02 readings. I loved the car because it was my first new car ever but i had way too many problems. I sold it at 55k miles only because of electrical and engine problems. You must use OEM oil filters or the internal HLAs will click. The 2.7L v6 is Hyundais worst engine. Their new engines are much better since they are not mitsubishi built

Fun and easy going... - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon
By Coconasty - February 9 - 6:00 pmI luv my Tib, and after getting the true low down on the warranty, I put in a cold air intake by AEM to up my economy and its much more to my liking. Realize friends that upgrading your vehicle does not neccisarily kill your warranty. If it interferes with the basic structure of the vehicle and CAUSES the problems, then your added part will be in question and you will not be covered. Upgrading your air intake will only help your vehicle, not hurt it, soooo GET R DONE!!! Upgrading parts is not a problem. When you get into chipping, turbo, and things of that nature is when you run into problems. Its not really neccisary. The car is quick. You can cheaply upgrade for more performance.

Proud Owner - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Proud Owner - February 6 - 10:00 amI love this car!! The styling is the thing that first drew my attention. The styling is now what draws EVERYBODYS attention. Some people just plain stop in their tracks and stare at it. I have a black one. The power in the 4 cylinder is more than adequate. I have a 5 speed, so it is probably a little better for power than an automatic. . 31 mpg on the highway is awesome for this sporty of a vehicle. The 5 year bumper to bumper is also great.! I wish the Dealer would have dealt on it more. I had to pay sticker, but some are selling it for thousands more!!! This is my second Hyundai. I love this car company!!

Mid Life Toy - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Gregorio - February 1 - 10:00 amI test drove all the sports coupes I could find under $30,000.00. I came back to the Tiburon for two reasons. First, the styling, nothing on the market comes close except the Z 350 for ten grand more and if you wanted to spend the money you will have to wait for several months to get hosed by a dealer. Second, the car is just more fun to drive. My 6 speed GT handles like the car it look like.

big bang for the buck - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By tony - January 26 - 10:00 amI love this car. my friends cant believe what i paid for it. got rid of my suv to put some fun in driving again. not the greatest headroom and trying to back out of a parking space is a "take a chance" experience what with the limited bisibility The radio/cd/cassette is amazing for the price and the warantee cant be beat.

So So Car - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By tibby - January 26 - 8:10 amI have a 2004, i find that this car doesnt preform to the styling that it has. From the looks you would expect preformance, but in turn you get an "economy" quality built vehicle. the main issue that i have come across is the clutch and flywheel assy. these two components are possibly the two worse designed components on the vehicle. and there is no point in having a backseat you can fit MAYBE one person back there.

Electrical problems- warranty ignored - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon
By Adriane - January 25 - 8:23 amThis car had persistent electrical problems, and the dealership was dishonest about the cause of them. The car would power surge and burned out 12 headlights, 2 radios, and 3 new batteries. The dealership replaced the individual parts per warranty, but would not investigate the underlying cause. Then, when it was humid, the car would not start. Once the 5-year warranty expired I took it to a non- hyundai mechanic (and my electrical engineer father), and they immediately identified the problem. The specs in the factory for the plating in the electrical system were off, and the connectors would vibrate loose (as evidenced by corrosion) which would cause arcs and surges. I had the car 6 years.

I love Hyundai - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By MarissaP - January 23 - 10:00 amFor the past 13 years I owed a Hyundai Excel hatchback. It was killed by a drunk drive. It was a most perfect car. Never had any trouble with it at all. I bought a Honda Civic, and hated it with a passion. I decided to go back to Hyundai and found another most perfect vehicle, the Tiburon. I love it. It is great on gas, better then the civic. It is very sharp looking, as well as a joy to drive. I am positive it will last for a very long time, as my sweet excel did. I love all the truck space and the fold down sets give this car a huge amount of carrying capacity, more than it looks like. If you buy one you will not be sorry.
