Best bang for the buck ever! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By rodendo - October 17 - 10:00 amFor twenty grand this is more car than I ever expected. It out styles all of the Japanese competition and is a blast to drive. The V-6 is the only way to go. Bought this one for my wife so went for the automatic but every time I get in I reach for the clutch. It just feels like you should be banging through the gears.

Still a good car - 2007 Hyundai Tiburon
By Maine - September 27 - 5:00 pmIve owned a 97 Tiburon, a 03 tiburon, and am now the proud owner of a 07 tiburon. I love the line, its always provided me with fun driving and this year is no different. The most notable is the chassis just feels stiffer then ever. The steering is very tight and gives that racing feel. The 07 looks better then ever and Im enjoying it. I suppose when the new model comes out in 09 I will wait till around 12 and purchase that year! keep up the good work Hyundai

Satisfied but not Excited - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By A.Fl - August 23 - 1:40 amI have owned this car for a few months, got it fire engine red with a 5pd manual transmission. I loved the look and the fact it was a manual, though a bright red coupe was not really in my best interest(Im a young driver, all I need is more attention on the road, right?). I had been shopping for a year and a half, and I got a great deal, so I ran with it. So far I am happy with everything except the engine power, which is adequate but does not lend itself to being a joy ride. Also, I am having a bit of trouble finding some basic performance parts to increase the HP. Basically, it meets but doesnt exceed expectations in this kind of vehicle.

not bad - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By not_you01 - July 3 - 12:10 pmI have had my 2003 Tiburon for over 1 1/2 years. I too have had problems with my windows and some with my sunroof cover. At 30k miles my battery went bad. Thank goodness for the warranty. Also when I am going down the highway at 75 mph the RPMs are around 3500-4000. This took some getting used to. I asked the dealer and they claimed the car is geared low. I didnt expect a really luxurious car for the money, so I am not really to disappointed at the lack of quality in the interior of the car, and a lot of people have commented on the style of the car, especially when I first bought it.

Bad Paint, Ponies Mis-stated - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Hoover12 - June 24 - 10:00 amI initially enjoyed the shark but have been very disappointed in paint quality, lots of chipping and the recently disclosed "mis-stated" horsepower. Although I still think the car is attractive and fun to drive, I have questioned its performance due to the break-in period. Now I know it was not in my head. I based by buying decision on the power ratings and may have made another choice if the information was accurate. There has been no disclosure on any mis-stated torque ratings. I would love to hear from other buyers.

Nice Style, Efficiency, and Reliability - 2004 Hyundai Tiburon
By BMS - June 1 - 4:36 amI purchased my Tiburon new in January of 04. I was initially impressed with the style and features offered on a car in this price range. I know that Hyundai used to build junk but they were attempting to re-brand themselves around 03-04 and I really liked the Tibby then, so I bought one. I love my car. I have over 100,000 miles on it and the only problem I have had is around 40,000 the rotors had to be replaced. I change the oil every 6,500 miles and the car runs great, looks great, drives great, and is so versatile. I love that I can flip the seats down and throw my roadbike in the trunk. Overall, probably the most car you could get for around $16,800. And the new ones are even sexier!
