Fun To Drive - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By danhaab - March 2 - 10:00 amThe Hyundai Tiburon is an absolute hoot to drive! I own a 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, and the Tiburon is just as fun to drive. The car handles well and has enough power to satisfy. The exterior is the best part. The styling elicits questions from the curious. My only complaints are the over-boosted steering and the spoiler. The handling is so good on this car that it is a shame to have such numbing power steering. Also, while I dont mind the spoiler, I think the car would look cleaner without it.

Sun Rough - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By Tieler - February 26 - 10:00 amThe Tiberon is a fun car to drive and looks great. However, the sun roof is rough - the design is poor and I have had the car in three times for repair. No permanent fix yet.

Good Car - 2005 Hyundai Tiburon
By MAK - December 30 - 1:50 amI love the way this car drives. It is so smooth and quiet. It is a bit heavy, but that can come in handy on windy days!Tid bit of a gas guzzler, but i wouldnt trade it for any 4 cylinder!

By ardee - December 21 - 6:06 amThe clutch on this car went bad after 12000 miles. The dealership gave me a hard time at first when it came to the warranty but they ended up replacing it with no cost to me. The paint on the gas cap peeled and they replaced that too. Now after 40000 miles the paint on the side view mirrors and the coating on my headlights peeled off. Other than that everything is good. I luv the car and I never modified anything so far. I already got 4 speeding tickets since I bought it. I recommend this car to anyone. Buy a brand new Tib!

By teinte31 - December 6 - 2:18 pmIm writing this review to basically respond to the Edmunds review. Ive had my GT V6 for 6 years now and have had not one problem with it. I feel the Edmunds review was very harsh towards the Tiburons power/engine. Guess what guys? Its not a Corvette! It is what it is, I knew when I bought it after the test drive it was weak, but I still bought it because it has the sexiest body style Ive ever seen. Thats why its nicknamed a Baby Aston Martin... Its a great tuner car as well, Ive put a cold air intake/exhaust/headers on mine and I can vouch the Tiburon has enormous power...Its just harnessed by the factory specs and state laws. Dont blame the Tiburon for that...I love it!

By BigDave - November 26 - 12:33 pmThe tiburon has sufficient power to put you back in your seat. The shifter feels loose even while in gear. The car has problems taking off when the rpms are higher than 3000. The clutch is grossly inadequent if you plan on taking to the races. The car comes alive with a few small engine mods. This car has tons of features for the price and will beat alot of the competitors in this class. The ride on the highway is remarkably smooth for this type of sport compact car. There are 2 seats in the back of the car, but are not comfortable for a person taller than 55".

By weav8060 - November 15 - 6:16 amI have an orange crush tibby that turns heads and really glows. Never mind the nominal hp -- this car is fast and you can navigate traffic like a star. BMWs have a hard time keeping up. It purs beautifully. Get the sunroof -- its the first time Ive had one and its important for the overall feel and comfort. Also, mine doesnt have rear windshield wipers and that needs to be remedied. The seats are very comfortable, but part of a cockpit feel that you have to slip into -- always pull the manually operated seats back as you get in and out (thats a fun factor too). This cars not for your if youre taller than 6 or overweight. The is a high revr and mileage is mediocre.

my tibby - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By eyedrivealot - October 22 - 5:56 amI have had this car since it was new. I have 174,000 miles on it currently. I have had no transmission issues or engine issues. Have gone thru two water pumps. Two timing belts, one set of rotors and 3 sets of tires. I would say their ac has issues. I had the car in four times and finally at 130,000 miles the regional manager oked them to replace the whole ac system in my car free of charge. I think their paint could be better but I did get a great deal and the car has served me very faithfully. I drive all over the state, thru snow, rain and hot temperate weather. This car has done it all. I am finally letting it go as a baby doesnt fit all that great in it. I will miss my tiburon.

ride cheap with style - 2000 Hyundai Tiburon
By keen - August 21 - 10:00 amThis car is fun to drive and cheap to buy. I hope this car will last long past the warranty. Over the past three years I have found this car to be reliable, responsive, and believe it or not a head turner. The four cyl. is a little under powered but they fixed that in 2003 with the avail. 6 cyl. The body style is a classic in my opinion.

The Shark is Worth the Price - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
By janasliltoy - August 21 - 10:00 amI got the totally decked out Ultrasport 3 pkg. The car runs along side stock Mustang V8s. People love the car and it gets looks. The 170hp somehow rockets this 3000lb car to 60 in about 7 flat. Definatly suprising. Warranty is great and they are easy to work with.
