  • Beware the clutch - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

SERIOUS CLUTCH ISSUES-clutch covered for 12k miles-every vehicle Ive owned was a standard, Tiburon clutch is junk, lasted 25k and died. Dealership blames "driving operation"-bunk!-owned all standards for 20+ years and never replaced a clutch in less than 90k- this lasted 25k-search "Tiburon Transmission" on Yahoo and youll see there is a problem with the design of the clutch-it simply doesnt last- mostly highway, experienced standard driver I would expect more than 25k- good chance you wont get it-BEWARE- Ill never buy a Hyundai again- powertrain warranty isnt worth the paper it is written on

  • My Tibby & Me - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I bought my Hyundai off the show room floor. She had 4 miles on her. Now, 101,000 miles later weve come quite a ways together. Many memories in what Id consider to be a very reliable car. While "Tibby" seems to be beginning to slowly break down...She has been very fun and reliable over the past 7 years. Id love to trade her in for a new one but sadly they are no more. If youre looking for a comfortable seat, exciting ride, sleek design, and speed this is your vehicle.

  • Best Kept Secret - 2007 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

The Tiburon has to be one of the best kept secrets in the automotive world as you dont see many on the road. Heads do turn and people do ask about the Tib everywhere we go. An excellent vehicle and price - just drive one and you will understand. I have owned 7 vehicles and paid a lot more for the others but love this one the most!

  • Im Glad I did - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Ive now put 3500 miles on my Tiburon. We seem to be getting used to one another. So far I am very happy with my sporty little ride. I get compliments often and lookers regularly. I am really enjoying it and its overall performance it plenty for me. Never thought I would want a sports [or in this case just sporty] car, but Im glad I did. Ive read reviews containing comments about the lack of leg room in the back seat. Come on, does anyone expect back seat leg room in a sports car.

  • Outrageous car!!! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Hyundai has done it! The new 2003 Tiburon is not heard of, at this price at least. It is nice and FAST, and with a few inexpensive modifications it is even faster! Everyone asks what I drive, I comment just a Hyundai, see the faces of disgust, but then I show them the car and give them a ride, the faces change and they want one now! I say get it if you want it, who cares if its Hyundai, you will be surprised!!

  • After my first 3400 miles..... - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

After my test drive, all I could say was: do I want the red one or the black one? One word sums it up: FUN! This car is the most fun to drive of any Ive owned in the last 20+ years. Extremely comfortable to drive, east to maneuver, goes as fast as it looks, gets lots of attention. Only bad part: all the buzzymobiles think you want to race.

  • The last hyundai - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Purchased the car new and after 6 years have 28,000 miles. During this time the moon roof broke, driver window was inoperative, both plastic door handles broke, paint in a number of areas has faded, inside and out. Now you cannot put gas into the tank without 17-22 tries due to the charcoal canister, close valve and filter canister needing replacement at a cost of $600.00 plus. They were not sure of the price at the dealership. Contacting the home office was to no avail. This will be the last Hyundai I will ever purchase. They are cheaply built.

  • Fun car, hard to get parts - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I just bought mt Tiburon, when i test drove it it had a bad wheel bearing that the dealer replaced for me (cost them 600 bucks)but it took couple of days for Hyundai to get the part to the Toyota dealer. Finally got it home and the Moonroof went out and Toyotas service department being awesome said they would fix that to....on them!at the moment i am still waiting to get my car due to Hyundai shipping not only the wrong part to fix the moonroof but a USED part at that, so right now im wondering if i just got myself into a money pit.Good news is that it is the 6 speed with the factory clutch still (crosses fingers).Only bad thing I can say about the car right now is tring to see out the back

  • Hyundais Hat Trick - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

People have always looked upon Hyundai as a throw away car, something just to get you around. The 2003 Tiburon GT V6 is going to change the nameplates image. The Tiburon GT V6s E.T at 15.3 sec moving 90.8 MPH, out does many in its class such as Civic Si (15.8/ 88.1), SVT Focus(15.8/ 90.6), and Eclipse GT(15.5/ 89.9) in the 1/4 mile, while finishing only a few ticks off the Acura RSX type-S(15.1 /94.7). (Motor Trend). The car leaves only one thing to be desired: go-faster parts that will not void the awesome warranty.

  • Most Fun Lil car I ever Owned! - 2008 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

I checked several other cars that had the same Look" ,small and sporty Look , without the High price tag! This was by far , the best deal for my money! If you just want to cruise with the top back, have the sport car feeling, and not the high insurance cost! I bought the 5 speed GS model with a sun-roof. I have had more compliments on this car than I have ever had with ANY other car Ive owned! Not planning on racing with anyone, just enjoying the ride! Have not had any problems with the car in 3 years !!
