  • wont buy another hyundia - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon

trading my sunfire was my first mistake. paying retail was my second. the car caught my eye and had to have it but was i wrong. tires only get 20,000 miles driven politely. and are ridicously expensive. You can only put V rated tires on this car and there is no need for them. resale value is a joke after owning the car for 9 months lost $7,000 value. luckily it has the great warrantee because it needs it

  • Dont Waste Your Money. - 2006 Hyundai Tiburon
    By -

Bought a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon in 2007 with 9k on the odometer. Ran fine at first. Less than a year later, O2 sensor went out. Replaced that, a week later another, replaced it, a week later another... replaced it, a week later guess what. This thing eats tires despite the fact that the alignment is good. The wear is even across the tire but we get less than 16k out of 30k tires. Have replaced the brakes, Sunroof no longer works, lock motor on driver side door went out, radiator hose started leaking at the thermostat housing, replaced the hose clamp and fixed it, a few days ago the radiator cracked in a spot that I still cant explain why.... Buy a Pinto your repair bills will be cheaper.

  • Take a good look, BUT DONT BUY!!!!!!! - 2003 Hyundai Tiburon

I’ve had my tibby for 6200 miles and about 1/2 of those are from trips to the dealer for servicing. Watch for numerous recalls from a car that is full of defects! Spoiler light assembly, driver side window motor, sunroof, paint on door sills, gas cap leakage, window seals, tweeter blown, plastic sub cover in trunk may crack! BEWARE-THIS CAR WILL DISAPPOINT YOU IF YOU DONT KEEP THESE ITEMS IN MIND! I’ve had other problems w/ leather seat flaw @ purchase, plastic doorsill damage and grease on roof after 1 of the servicing. The HORSEPOWER was lied about by 11 horse in their ads.

  • My wonderful piece of CRAP!!! - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon

This car is THE WORST car I have EVER owned. I WOULD NOT recommend that ANYONE would buy a piece of crap like this. Ive had it into the dealer many times to get it fixed, and they cant fix the problem. The car has NOT worked right since the day we drove it off the lot. Im ready to take the car back to the dealer, with only about 6500 miles on it. If you are thinking of buying one. DONT!!!!

  • dont buy a tiburon - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon

This is the worst car I have ever bought. At 60,000 I have things that are going wrong that shouldnt be until it has 100,000 miles. Heater control knob, rear wheel bearings, emergency brake cable faulty, brakes faulty, poor high idle rpms rims leak air, took it to dealer in Heath Ohio and was told 1050.00 dollars to repair. Should have kept Nissan sentra with twice the mileage in and more dependable.

  • I wish I had known - 2007 Hyundai Tiburon

I read some reviews on here when I was looking for a car. I wish I had found all the reviews about how the clutch on this car is junk. I am NOT even joking, I bought the car used with 40k miles - the day after I drove it off the lot the clutch started slipping. Yes, the day after, I wish it had slipped during the test drive. I guess Hyundai is notorious for having bad clutches. The clutch warranty on a new car is only 12K miles / 1 Year.... for a reason. Oh, and of course I bought the extended warranty that does not cover clutches, as I found out. The dealership quoted me on the low end $1400. AGH! This is my Karma for buying a foreign car I guess.
