Honda has made a number of enhancements to the 2004 Honda S2000. Most importantly, a larger 2.2-liter engine has been fitted. This, along with revised transmission gearing, is meant to improve power delivery. Other changes include updated suspension tuning, 17-inch wheels (16s were the previous standard), upgraded brakes, larger tailpipes and restyled front and rear bumpers with new headlights and taillights. Inside, there's a new center console (with two cupholders and a storage tray) and a bit more shoulder, elbow and hiproom for the driver and passenger. All Honda cars have a new seatbelt reminder system this year.

• Agile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop, high level of performance for the price.

• Still not much low-end torque, no passenger airbag cut-off switch.

  Without a doubt, one of the BEST 2 seat convertibles on the market today. I have wanted this car since it arrived over 5 years ago. But waited for what seems like an eternity to finally get it.

  This car is all about performance. If youre looking for cushy luxury it isnt for you. But I get out of the car with a grin every day and the howl it makes over 7000 rpm is pure joy.

  The car was purchased as my weekend fun car. I have a 96 accord Ex which is my daily driver. But when I get behind the wheel of this little pocket rocket, I just loose my mind. There isn’t any other car I would consider on my S2K and I looked at the BMW Z4 as well as the Porsche Boxster but could compare to her.

  i leased a 2001 s2000 and am planning to get another! i just drove a 2004 and dont know if the power is improved or not. overall, this is a great car! i love that there arent many of these on the road. for the $$, its the best buy out there in the covertable market.

  This extremely more car than the sticker price. Everyone wants to look at this car. The handling is great, accelleration equal or better than cars twice the cost. Honda Engineers hit a home run with the 04 S2000.

  This is truly an "enthusiasts" sports car. To sum it all up, this car has everything you need, and nothing that you dont. Definetely a significant amount of interior noise from the wind and tires. However the best noises are heard from the twin oval tipped exhausts. She revs like a F1 and sounds like a banshee. Fuel consumption is conservative at 20/25 city/hwy. Hondas S2K definatley provides the most bang for the buck, no doubt. Where else can you get drop top pleasure, with an engine like a bat out of hell, with one of the best transmission in the world, and killer looks for about $30 grand?

  I was originally in the market for a 1- 2 year old 911. A friend who owns a 2002 S2000 recommended I look at the 2004 model. He was right on. Even though Im 62 I still fit comfortably even with the top up. The reviews written about the 2004 are pretty much right on. If you want a car that feels like a car set-up for the track and you crave F1 engine whine this is the ticket

  I have owned this car for 3 years and I still love driving it. the V tech thrills me every time it kicks in. And the responsive handling is fun on winding roads. I love this little jem.

  I have had an S2000 and is was superb, apart from when I hired one in America. The handling was desgined for comfort, and so completely destroyed the agile feeling that you get from a UK car. Buy a British version for the best enjoyment of an S2000. [PS, you also get more kit with a UK car]

  I spent a lot of time researching what sport car i was going to get. this one had everything i wanted and you cannot beat the performance for the price. the power top is quick and easy and the car is a complete blast to drive. just driving or in the parking lot people will comment or rubberneck. go to the dealership and look at the sticker price, take it for a spin, and it will be very difficult to leave without it.
