I bought this car brand new and had problems shortly after with fit and finish - the carpet would continually pull up on the passenger size. The dealer failed 3 times to re-attach it and after a stern talking to, agreed to replace the carpet with one that fit. In the meantime, the dealer would perform unnecessary maintenance at their convenience until I gave the service manager an F-bomb laden speech about who gets to decide what gets done to my car on my money (they threw out my 15$ old filter and mobile 1 synthetic change that was less than a month old to replace it with shop-quality replacements that time). I had the usual problems with brakes and rotor replacements and I thought it was all over. Then I get a notice about oil burning and the 2.4L engine. They extended the warranty in a way that seems to suggest they will try to weasel out of paying out. This is done by limiting mileage and date and specifying a redemption process which is a PIA. I did have to add a quart between changes, but I try to take care of this car as if I would keep it forever - this is why I spend the extra money to get high-quality fluids and filters and yet keep to the mgrs maintenance schedule. I have just sent some used oil out for analysis and if it shows oil burning at 73K miles, I will trade the car in. The transmission went out at 72k and required a full replacement. Since I had no faith in the abilities of the dealership, I had the work done at an independent shop I trust. I inquired about a "honda good faith" program and the gentlemen basically tried to hang up on me when I told him I wasnt working with a dealer. I asked him how long a transmission should last and the answer in a nutshell was 5 years/50K miles. This lifetime on a modern car is, quite frankly - unacceptable. Ive had 3 Hondas in the past and they were boring and reliable. This one is just boring. So no more Hondas for me. Ever.

This car is not comfortable the front seats are like sitting on a park bench, small, no padding and the leather is cheap. Cheap plastic interior with too many buttons on the ugly dash. Road noise is awful and the brakes are pathetic. Honda has a recall on this car and when i brought the car to the dealer they said the brakes on this thing were ok. V6 engine is a noisy winder when stepping on the pedal hard what a joke. Im dumping this piece of overrated Honda and looking at the Ford Fusion or the Buick LaCrosse. Honda has taken there so called reliability and threw out the door with new generation Honda

I have always been a gm person, but I gave Honda a try, which was a gigantic mistake. It wouldnt even start on the second day, it had Major airbag problems and transmission problems. The build quality is also terrible, the front fender fell off at 4,500 miles (I didnt even go over any bumps) I need my car for work driving on the highway, and this Honda has broken down on me twice while cruising at 65 mph. This all happened in about a 5 month period, I ended filing a lemon law suit, got my money back and bought a better car since the end of February, Ive been driving a new Chevy impala ls (base model) and it has not given me a single problem please, if your buying a car, dont buy a Honda!

  • The worst car I ever bought - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought this car for 19,500 (including taxes and fees) on the road (2008 accord LX 5AT). So make sure you get the best bargain. Dont buy this car if you dont have to. I test drove Toyota Camry also. That is not any better - lack of power. The drive feels like I am driving a U- Haul truck. I just hate this car.

Went over reviews on several makes and based on reviews, purchased a Honda Accord. (1) Start off dealer support is non-existent, car was recalled several times and getting in to the dealer or getting any thing done is not worth the hassel. Dealers think they are there just to sell you a car. (2) Car is nosiey, can not hear the radio on the road. (3) Fit and finish is bad, the leather interior has bubbles and torn is several areas, rubber front window molding has melted and no longer seals, not even talking about the front headlights covers. (4) Front cup holder is under the armrest and useless. (5) I have been driving for 50 years and this was the first cat that had the back brakes replaced before the front, Honda recalled but was useless in getting reimbursed (less than 30,000 miles). (6) Gas mileage is acceptable but no where near what was posted on sticker. (7) I have driven this car for ten years and is ok for a daily driver but I will not buy another Honda again.
