  • Do NOT buy a 2008 Honda Accord - 2008 Honda Accord

I have been having NOTHING but problems with my 2008 Honda Accord. First, the steering column had to be replaced within the first month of owning it. Ever since then, my car is in, on average, once a month for servicing. The rear brakes wore at 15,000 Kms when all I drove was highway. My clutch squeaks when releasing it, but they told me its in my head. And now, I am burning oil like there is no tomorrow - its a brand new car!! Honda will not support its customers and fix the problems I have been telling them about for the past year! What a let down Honda - you are suppose to be the best and most reliable car on the road. Maybe I just bought a lemon. But this is my first and last Honda.

Very comfortable and roomy vehicle. Interior layout excellent. Exterior looks excellent. Fuel economy excellent for such a large car. It is a 4 cylinder so does not have the power I am used to because I have been used to V6 & V8 engines. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a new car of this size. I hope Hondas reliability holds out. That was one of the major reasons for my purchase of this car.

  • Everything I expected - 2008 Honda Accord

After 12 years of a BMW 3-series convertible, I looked for something with the same excellent driving characteristics and handling. I do not drive 10/10ths, but enjoy responsive handling and a decent compromise between comfort and firmness. This is it. 3-series BMWs have very little, if anything, to offer for someone like me over this car. It has great cornering, excellent acceleration, and a great interior. I personally love the exterior styling - YMMV. I expected to miss the touch screen navi that weve had for 4 years on our Acuras, but Im even happier with the new model -- seems to do a much better job of speech recognition than our 2006 MDX. I couldnt be happier with it.

Great style, looks great in Black. Nice interior, great radio and A/C system. Nice performance from the 190 HP 4 cylinder. Smooth ride and handling under 60 mph.

  • Not worth it - 2008 Honda Accord

Right from the start, I began having problems. The drivers seat does not adjust properly and the factory and dealership would not change it which gave me lots of back aches. Gas mileage is horrible on highway at 21 mpg. Drivers seat does not go back far enough. Engine performance is very lacking. This car has the 6-4-3 eco system. Do not buy it. When gas pedal is floored abruptly, the engine pauses for several seconds then slowly gains speed. The transmission does not downshift properly... If youre in drive and you decide to floor the gas pedal at 10 mph, the transmission stays in 3rd gear and does not shift lower unless you do it manually. Will not buy another Honda unless changes.

  • 2,000 mile update - 2008 Honda Accord

After two months, my 08 Accord LX has 2,000 problem-free miles on it. I love the amount of interior room of this car. Fuel economy is good for its size (24 mpg with the 177-hp engine). The engine provides enough power for my daily routine. It has a comfortable ride and most controls are logical, but the location of the volume knobs takes some getting used to. Also, its fairly agile. However, I do have a few complaints. The dash board curves and sticks out when trying to get in. Therefore, both I and front seat passengers have banged our knees while getting in. Also, for a $20,000 car, Honda should have had Maintenance Minder standard. Lastly, the LXs wheel covers look very cheap IMO.

  • Best car Ive owned - 2008 Honda Accord

Well I thought I might try and inform future buyers of this car so that they can better understand what to expect from it. The only bad things about this car I can say is the exterior paint is very easily swirled and scratched and the "entertainment" of the car is very bland. Its a plain Jane car. However you very soon realize just how well built this car is and how reliable a Honda can be. Ive put very little money into this car and when I do its very cheap. I bought it with 83000 miles and we just hit 120000 and it runs as strong as a new accord. I plan to drive this car to the ground and I think it might stop running when it hits 500000 miles. Bottom line you cant go wrong with this car, everything is average or above average and certainly cost of ownership is the best in the biz.

  • My First Accord - 2008 Honda Accord

This is my first Accord. I chose it over the Civic. I prefer a car with 4 wheel disc brakes and after dressing up the Civic the price was very close to the Accord LX. I am 64" in height and I fit better in the Accord. The car drives well. Highway I am getting 35 mpg. City mileage is at 25 mpg. The paint is good quality. I always hand wax a new car the day I get it to look for flaws or scratches and found the finish to be fine. It drives very well and has a solid feel on the road at freeway speeds. I wanted an inexpensive car with good mileage, and strong resale. This car meets my expectations.

  • Money well spent - 2008 Honda Accord

Just purchased the car on May 24th, after looking at every comparable vehicle. From Chevy to Toyota, after reading reviews from other consumers we agrees hands down, that the Accord was the way to go. The new body style looks great, and the interior is laid out very well. The safety features speak for themselves. This is the first time , after buying a car, that we havent felt ripped off. What a good feeling, so far

  • Love my Accord! - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

After driving a 99 Olds Alero for 9 years and having something break on a monthly basis, owning this car is a dream! I absolutely love it! I also looked at Camry and the new Acura TSX, but the Accord is a class above Camry in my opinion and why pay $5000 more for the TSX when it is virtually identical to the Accord? The exterior and interior is more reflective of European styling and it looks amazing. I generally keep my vehicles 8-10 years and look forward to owning this one that long.
